Richmond Hotel Aomori ★★★★
"The location is a bit far, about a 15-minute walk from Aomori Station, which was tough in the snow. Everything else was perfect though; the room was very comfortable, no complaints there."
ReLabo -Medical Spa & Stay ★★★★
"So far, this is my favorite hotel during my Japan trip. Super convenient location, right on top of JR staion. Stroll to Afactory and nebuta museum. The room is clean and well organized, they provide everything you need. The free yoga program is a plus. I will definitely come back to ReLabo again."
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Aomori ★★★★
"The room size is good, and it has its own private bathroom. This is my second time staying here, and it's very nice. I recommend it."
Hotel JAL City Aomori ★★★★
"The room was nice. Although it wasn't the most recently renovated, and some of the furniture looked a bit dated, it wasn't broken or dirty. The hotel has a very retro feel. Later, when I stayed at Toyoko Inn in Hirosaki, from a purely enjoyment perspective, Hotel JAL City Aomori was relatively more interesting. It's about a seven to eight-minute walk from Aomori Station, which isn't far. However, it might feel a bit further during heavy snow. It's also a big plus that there's staff available even late at night, which I think is quite rare for hotels in Japan's regional areas. Hope to stay at JAL City again sometime!"
HOTEL MYSTAYS Aomori Station ★★★
"Excellent location, very close to the JR station, and right on the main street with many restaurants downstairs. The best yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant, Nandaimon, is just a minute's walk next door. The hotel facilities are also quite new, and the room size is just right."
Rembrandt Inn Aomori ★★★
"Walking distance from Aomori Station, this hotel features an arcade in front and a convenience store downstairs. The lobby offers free coffee and toiletries. However, the walls are a bit thin, so you can sometimes hear noise from the next room."
Art Hotel Aomori ★★★★
"I wanted heating, they claimed no built in heating saying it is not winter. So I requested portable heater. Staff brought it. But it did not even turn on. So I told them again. Then they brought other one. Second one turned on, but broke down after few minutes. So I told them about that and they brought another one, which broke down again after few minutes. Plus there was some smoking smells. I got frustrated with never ending issues so I shortened my stay but they didn’t even refund."
Hotel Sunroute Aomori ★★★
"Very old rundown hotel that's not what we expected with the pictures shown on Trip.com Very disappointed."
Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring ★★★
"Location abit far from station but shelted Rom size is good, clean and sea view! Onsen (indoor/outdoor) and daily supper are superb 👍👍👍👍👍"

Hotel Route-Inn Aomori Ekimae
"It was a bit pricey during cherry blossom season, but it's conveniently located near Aomori Station and has a large public bath."
Hotel 2135
"The entrance to the parking lot was really scary. The room was spacious and the bathroom and toilet were separate, which was nice. The hotel was dimly lit, but there were no problems with the facilities."
APA Hotel Aomori Ekihigashi
"The location is good. It's a bit hard to find on Google. The amenities for children are good. They are very considerate. I will use this place again. They allowed me to check in 20 minutes early."
Aomori Forest Hotel Annex
"During the Nebuta festival, I had to book this place out of necessity because I couldn't find anything better. It's quite a distance from the JR station, which was inconvenient. Other than that, it was an acceptable stay."
Asamushi Onsen Tatsumikan
"This is an inn located on the coast of Asamushi Onsen. It has a very tasteful exterior. I used it for a day trip. Bathing starts at 12:00 and the bathing fee is 500 yen. The hot spring uses a shared source, but the indoor bath is a large stone bathtub, and the open-air bath is designed so that you can lie down in it. The water feels good and it is a very pleasant hot spring."
Hotel Akitaya
"I couldn't find any rooms in Aomori during the Aomori Festival. I could only book the Asamushi Onsen Hotel. This place is 20 minutes away from Aomori Station by train. The facilities are very old and have not been renovated for a long time. The service staff is very good, but the food in the hot spring hotel is very ordinary. It is not a one-night stay with two meals. The festival premium is too much."
Hotel Jogakura
"This stay was fantastic! The hotel's environment is beautiful and the design is chic. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer stunning city views. The staff were warm and friendly, and check-in was handled with great care. The bedding was comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. Overall, it absolutely lived up to five-star standards. Highly recommended!"
Kaisenkaku
"I stayed for two nights with my family. All the staff were very kind, and the food was delicious. The evening show was also enjoyable. The shamisen performance was very impressive."
Hakkoda Hotel
"Although the accommodation building was old in places, the lobby, restaurant, bar, etc. had a stately feel and it was a very nice hotel overall. Above all, the hospitality of the staff was fantastic. Although many things have become mechanized recently, I felt that this hotel had retained the good qualities of an old hotel in a good way."
Asamushi Sakura Kanko Hotel
"The hotel is located by the sea, with windows facing the ocean. It was cloudy when I visited, so I didn't get to see the sunset or sunrise, only a few seabirds and dark seaweed. The breakfast and dinner were pretty standard, similar to other hot spring hotels, but the evening show was good. The hotel is a bit far from the city center; it's about a ten-minute walk from the station. Across the railway crossing is the Asamushi Aquarium, where I was surprised to see a demonstration of how to cook scallops for the first time in an aquarium."
Aomori Center Hotel
"I returned to this hotel after my last visit in January, and the friendly front desk staff were just as helpful to us foreigners! The combination of the hotel and hot spring is fantastic. It's super convenient to walk to Aomori Station or the nearby bus stop to transfer to Shin-Aomori Station. However, it gets very quiet around the hotel at night; you'll need to go to the station or the shopping street for more activity. But the hotel itself has a hot spring and restaurant, and there's a convenience store right outside the alley. If you're truly focused on a relaxing getaway and not planning to shop, this hotel is an excellent choice! I look forward to visiting again next season!"
Toyoko Inn Aomori Ekimae
"it’s really close to the station. Plenty of variety for breakfast. Near to attraction as well"
Tsubakikan
"It was a beautiful hotel, but we ended up leaving 30 mins after arriving because there was no view of the ocean."
Yadoya Tsubaki
"Nostalgic hotel. There are three free private baths available for rent. The hotel does not provide meals. There is plenty of parking space. WiFi has room for improvement. The staff's attitude is enthusiastic."
