Water damage stains on the walls/dirty textiles/broken light fixture in the room. Bar at night on the roof top very noisy no soundproofing between rooms Very poor service at reception. I advise against it!

We stayed at the Lake Forest Hotel for 2 nights while 'doing' all the usual sights of the area. There are many very strong points about the hotel - especially its location with our room (and the main open air dinning space) overlooking Lake Tissa, it really is idyllic and a short drive to all the key areas you may wish to visit. Our room was well equipped, clean and comfortable and there was a good buffet choice of breakfast options - both Sri Lankan and Western. The buffet dinner however was, we felt, the weakest area of the hotel with some very unappetizing options. Picking selectively meant there was sufficient to eat, however it did not match other culinary experiences provided by other hotels visited during this holiday and from previous visits.

Cet établissement est situé au calme, à proximité d'un lac bucolique. Le confort est bien là avec des chambres agréables et un service bon enfant. La piscine est plus un objet de décor et n'est guère pratique pour nager.

A serene stay outside, but not far from, the centre. Easy to get a tuktuk in for a stroll and dinner. Pool was lovely, but only 4 fixed position loungers and all in the shade. I'd hoped to get a bit of a tan so had to sit on the benches, which was fine. Staff friendly View stunning Rooms lovely. Food was nice too but we preferred to eat dinner in town.

Sicuramente non un 4 stelle . La struttura è abbastanza vecchia , la pulizia non perfetta e il cibo mediocre. Lo staff è davvero gentile e cordiale ma sul tema pulizia nelle stanze e qualità del buffet devono assolutamente migliorare

What a disappointment this place turned out to be. The towels and sheets didn’t even look like they had been cleaned properly. Think twice before booking here. There are much better places out there for half the price.
