Water damage stains on the walls/dirty textiles/broken light fixture in the room. Bar at night on the roof top very noisy no soundproofing between rooms Very poor service at reception. I advise against it!

What a disappointment this place turned out to be. The towels and sheets didn’t even look like they had been cleaned properly. Think twice before booking here. There are much better places out there for half the price.

Our trip itinerary meant we only stayed one night at the hotel but were completely blown away by the incredible night view over the lake with the stuppa’s lit up in the distance. The room was very large with a large balcony overlooking the pool. The meals were first class catering for western and Sri Lankan cuisine. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan dishes with extra coconut sambal. The breakfast buffet was first class and the freshly cooked egg hoppers were next level. Highly recommend.

I honestly can’t believe how many great reviews this place has, that’s what convinced us to book. Combined with the higher price tag, we really thought we were in for something special. What a disappointment this place turned out to be. The towels and sheets didn’t even look like they had been cleaned properly. Think twice before booking here. There are much better places out there for half the price.

The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. really good people doing their best. But the property itself wasn’t well maintained. The food was nothing special, and the rates were as high as a 5-star hotel, even though it felt more like a 2-star place. Definitely not worth for the money.

The view from this hotel is great - over the lake and onto the temples across the other side. Also very nice pool and decent breakfast. However, the service and amenities at the hotel are otherwise pretty average - no laundry service, hard to get a drink by the pool and very limited choice. So fine as a base to visit the temples, but don’t expect too much.

We had a disappointing experience. 1. The hot water didn’t work, and our rooms weren’t ready on time. 2. The swimming pool is right next to the dining area, so there’s no privacy for either the swimmers or the diners. 3. The buffet wasn’t great. there wasn’t much variety, especially considering the price. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful. But overall, the facilities and service don’t match the high prices. The only thing we liked was the view. If you want to enjoy the scenery, it’s better to visit for a day outing, lunch, or dinner. Wouldn’t recommend staying overnight.
