The sound insulation is very poor, there is no elevator and you need to carry your luggage upstairs. There is no outlet in the bathroom to plug in a hair dryer. There is no hotel service staff on duty at night, and the hotel has basically no service at all.

Na een prima verblijf in het zusterhotel August, hadden we hoge verwachtingen van Hotel Julien, dat in het centrum van Antwerpen ligt. Helaas werd ons verblijf al snel een teleurstelling. Bij aankomst kregen we zonder enige vraag een rondleiding, iets waar we helemaal niet om hadden gevraagd. We hadden liever meteen naar onze kamer willen gaan om ons rustig te installeren. Daarnaast bleek de lift niet te werken, wat voor ons met zware koffers een behoorlijke opgave was. Het personeel moest de bagage zelf naar de derde verdieping dragen, wat absoluut niet te doen was voor hen – of voor ons, in dat geval. Ze hadden duidelijk te weinig handen om alles soepel te laten verlopen. Het ontbijt was wel oké, maar ook daar was het personeel duidelijk overbelast. Er was slechts één medewerker voor de hele ontbijtzaal, wat resulteerde in lange wachttijden en een chaotische sfeer. Het was gewoon te druk voor één persoon om alles bij te houden, wat het algehele comfort van het ontbijt zwaar beïnvloedde. Al met al was het verblijf bij Hotel Julien niet wat we hadden gehoopt. De locatie is prima, maar de service en faciliteiten lieten zeker te wensen over. Ik zou aanraden om goed na te denken voordat je hier boekt, vooral als je waarde hecht aan een vlotte en comfortabele ervaring.

It was a wonderful experience. The hotel’s location is superb. Almost every main attraction at walking distance. The staff very polite & helpful. I highly recommend it.

Hoe mooi de gelijkvloerse verdieping ook is, zo ontgoochelend is het verblijf op de kamer. Leuke en vriendelijk ontvangst, mooie GV verdieping , schitterend ontbijt, dramatisch ontgoochelende slaapkamer (nr 3). Totaal onverantwoorde kamerprijs voor een dringend aan renovatie toe zijnde kamer. Zeker geen aanrader om te bezoeken voor een nacht

Charming hotel located in the central of Antwerp
We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. The staff was incredible—always available and skilled not only in guest services but also as bartenders. We also enjoyed a wonderful massage at the spa, which had an amazing atmosphere. The hotel's aesthetic won us over, and the views were breathtaking (see below). Our room was spacious and offered entertainment options like Amazon and Netflix.
The hotel is centrally located in a vibrant part of Antwerp, making it easy to get around.
When we return, this will be the only place we stay!
