The Narrow Gauge Railroad Inn is an average old-style motel that's very convenient to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad rides. Located just a short walk from the railroad's station, the rooms in this motel are small but functional. The staff (just the owner, who lives on premises) was very friendly and is used to railroad enthusiasts staying here. Lots of free parking. While close to the Railroad, you'll need to drive to anywhere else in Antonito (such as to eat). This isolated location is very quiet.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Made the visit pleasant. Motel needs painting on walls and doors and overall repair of entire facility.TV located over side of bed//hazardous for hitting your head while accessing heater/AC. No bedside clock. No telephone. No guide on how to operate TV.

We knew what we were getting especially for the price, the room was clean, the staff friendly but it is still pretty rundown. We went to ride the train and it is right next to the train depot so that was nice. Just some FYIs, not complaints, they still use actual keys, office closes from 10pm-8am, and it is a little way out of town so no dining within walking distance, but the town is only a mile away with several dining options. It served it's purpose and was really the only option in town.

Excellent overnight for the nearby Scenic Railroad
While this is an older facility, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and lastly it is a park at the door motel. No long hallways. The facility is very near the Cumbres & Toltec Railway station and it is convenient to restaurants in Antonito. Nice owners.

Even though the property is quite old, the owners do all they can to make staying there pleasant. The room was very clean with the necessities well provided. They make the most of what is possible.

It is a good clean room for the price . Yes, the rooms are dated, but everything works and it’s clean. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and made them safe self available if needed.

Pillows were so thin the were almost non-existant, no smoke alarm, noisy upstairs neighbor, musty smell but you get what you pay for

The outside needs paint. we were the only ones staying that night. My wife has difficulty with stairs and it would have been nice to have the room on the main floor rather than upstairs. Breakfast was cold but cold. Jasmine, who checked us in was very friendly and recommended a good place to eat.
