The location is perfect and walkable to everything you want to see. The atmosphere is breathtaking and peaceful. The rooms are spotless clean, ample, and quiet. The price is excellent

Fabulous hotel. Designed to reflect colonial style but new so all facilities reflect this. Although the hotel has lots of rooms it is really well designed around several courtyards so you feel as though you are in a much smaller space. Bed very comfortable. Jacuzzi pool a very welcome end of day add on and lots of staff available - all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. There was someone behind the desk 24/7. I would wait to exchange money until you get there - needs to be cash. It was a better exchange rate than the ATM at the airport. Location was good and food, room and bar were all fantastic. This big picture with the tall green building that is the photo on Trip Advisor website is not the hotel building, but the traveler's photos are correct. The rooms were comfortable and there was purified water to fill your bottle up as well as free coffee all day.

My daughter and I stayed for just over a week at Camino Real. In a suite. While it was not the cheapest option in Antigua, it was ultimately an absolutely amazing experience and worth every penny! The staff was kind and accommodating and extremely friendly. On one occasion when I was up early and coffee was not quite ready, a staff member (Amilcar) noticed, and went to the kitchen and brought a coffee room service style to my room! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and well kept. The small pool was absolutely perfect. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for. We felt very safe and protected. We will absolutely be back! Highly recommend!

Consistently great service all throughout. The facilities are impeccably clean including lobby, corridors, windows, room, bathroom. I stayed in a "virrey" suite, which included a small living room with a large TV, and a desk in the first floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. Antigua was a little chilly this time of year and with the thick and fluffy duvet, there was no need to turn on the heater. Bathrob and slippers were provided and the towels were soft and truly white (evidence of clean). Room service was efficient and professional and the food was always freshly cooked. The overall facilities are relaxing and quiet. This is the perfect place to relax and/or spend a restorative night after a day of walking through Antigua. The only area I don't recommend is the spa. While the masseuse was very professional and skilled, the spa is located next to the gym and the loud gym music ruined the spa experience. I could hear both the spa music and the gym music in the room. To make matters worse, the spa music was going in and out and sounded as if coming from a cell phone instead of a quality speaker. I will be returning to this hotel (including restaurant) because of the great service and facilities, but will not use the spa again.

It's a modern hotel with a vintage feel, with attention to every detail to achieve a 100% "antique" atmosphere. Very clean and quiet. Very comfortable beds, excellent food. Excellent service from all the staff. Highly recommended.
