"The view is simply amazing! You can have a decent breakfast. But the hostel itself is run-down, there are few outlets, the room is hot, and I won't even mention the toilets. On the other hand, this is the cheapest option in Annecy, so thankfully it's an option."

"Huge construction site next door, at the foot of our room, with huge stone crushers from construction trucks.... waking up at 7 a.m. in the morning by the noise of the machines. Pillows, stained duvets. In terms of kitchen, very minimalist, no small pots, no microwave. Toilet lids broken and never repaired. I'm going through some and the best ones. Absolutely avoid."

Splendid Hotel

"Perfect stay, but overpriced for what it is. We didn't have shower gel; the bottle was empty. And for breakfast, it's a real shame to serve all that cold cuts and cheese, especially since some people don't eat meat or pork and find it bothersome. Luckily, your employee was very attentive. But overall, the service is still mediocre for the price... too much noise at night, and in the lake-facing room, it was impossible to sleep... otherwise, the location is perfect, and the parking lot across the street is great and partially covered by the hotel."

"Amazing stay at Hotel du Palais de l’Isle in Annecy. The receptionists were both incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The location is absolutely perfect and stunning, right in the heart of the city. The room was fantastic — comfortable and beautifully done. Highly recommended! Definitely will come back again and again!"

"Rooms are completely different from the photos. I felt deceived. The room was very small and unfortunately not clean. The whole bathroom got wet after you showered. Staff are friendly, though."

"We booked a room in this hotel in Annecy via *******, and the listing clearly stated that the room had air conditioning. Upon arrival at 11:30 PM (as previously agreed), we found out that there was no air conditioning at all, despite it being explicitly mentioned in the booking. We messaged the receptionist, who admitted in writing that our room did not have A/C, and blamed us, saying we “didn’t book properly.” This was completely unacceptable, especially considering we had a screenshot of the booking that clearly included air conditioning. We contacted ******* support, and they confirmed the room was supposed to have A/C. Yet the hotel refused to provide any refund or alternative solution. Earlier that day, we had informed the hotel we would arrive around 10:30 PM. The receptionist simply replied asking us to message him 30 minutes before arrival – which we did. However, when we arrived, he complained about our late check-in, even though we followed his exact instructions. I never had a problem like that in any hotel or AirBnB I stayed in in my entire life. This was a deeply disappointing experience: false advertising, unprofessional attitude, and zero customer care. Not recommended for anyone who expects transparency, reliability, or basic respect as a guest. We will continue to ask for a refund via the best Consumer Rights channels available."
