Les Chambres de Mathilde

This was a nice B&B, location was OK, 16 minute walk from the train station (can also catch public transport) & about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Angers. The room was nicely decorated, (no elivator & a few flights of stairs), clean, bed & pillows comfortable. Bathroom with shower which was clean as well. No air conditioning. The breakfast was a treat, served by the host. We enjoyed our stay & would return when in Angers again.

The property is centrally located within walking distance of main sites and restaurants but in a quiet and peaceful street. The host was very hospitable and the house is a historic bed & breakfast in a lovely well maintained house. Very homey and cozy decorations and our room was very comfortable and clean. Their was no a/c in the room but was Ok even in the warm weather in early June with opened windows.

We did a stop-over in our road trip in Angers and stayed at Les Chambres de Mathilde. Everything was great: bed, shower, Wi-Fi and the lovely breakfast. The host is always available and we really recommend it to stay a bit longer as this city has a lot to see: cathedral, castle and city walks.

Excellent choice for Angers Very congenial and helpful host in a lovely, charming and beautifully-furnished house. Very comfortable bed and good bathroom. Breakfast is light, stairs are quite steep and the radiator will tick and trickle fairly continuously when on, so do without it from bedtime when possible. Parking at the nearby secure park is easy and reasonably priced - just be aware the only indication you'll get that the exit machine has scanned your paid ticket is the raising of the arm!

What a gem! A lovingly decorated and maintained small family hotel centrally located in Angers. An easy 15 minute walk from the train station, also close to walk from the tram. Great choice of restaurants close by. The owner obviously delights in personally welcoming guests and we had delightful conversations with him. Our room was truly lovely… huge comfortable bed, double sinks in the bathroom, even a dressing room. Lovely breakfast with home made yougurt and honey from the owner’s own bees. This would make a lovely base to stay for a few nights to explore Angers and the surrounding area. Yes.. we will stay here again. 😄

Delightful hotel with wonderful breakfast. Beautiful period decorations combined with modern, spacious bathroom. Friendly, helpful and communicative host. Great location.
