"Stopped over in Maine on the way to the Bay of Fundy. The Inn is a historic landmark and is very lovely. Our host Olga was wonderful. She had great advice for places to eat. We really enjoyed the experience instead of a typical motel as a stop over."

SureStay Hotel by Best Western Lewiston ★★

📍 516 Pleasant St, Lewiston

"I am writing this review as a warning to anyone considering this hotel. My stay was not just disappointing; it was genuinely awful and has potentially impacted my health. Do not make the same mistake I did. 1. Filthy Conditions: From the moment I entered the room, it was clear no proper cleaning had been done. The floors were sticky, surfaces were dusty, and there was a lingering odor of neglect. The bathroom was the worst part. The sink and shower had visible grime and hair from previous guests. The toilet was not properly cleaned, and mildew was growing in the shower grout. This wasn't "tired," it was dirty. 2. Unprofessional and Rude Staff: When I brought these issues to the front desk, I was met with indifference and outright rudeness. The staff member did not apologize or offer to rectify the situation. Instead, they shrugged and implied I was being fussy. Their attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making a bad situation infinitely worse. 3. The Unforgivable Health Consequence: The most serious issue occurred after sleeping in their beds. I woke up with an itchy, red rash on my torso and arms. I cannot state with absolute medical certainty it was from the linens, but I have no history of skin allergies, and it appeared only after contact with their bedding. This suggests the sheets were either not changed or washed with harsh, improper chemicals. A hotel that gives a guest a rash has failed in its most basic duty: providing a safe and clean environment. 4. Overall Experience: This hotel is a textbook example of neglect. It exploits guests by charging for a service (a clean, safe room) it blatantly does not provide. It is managed with apathy and staffed with individuals who have no business in hospitality. Final Warning: If you value your health, your money, and your peace of mind, stay anywhere else. This place is a disgrace to the industry. I will be seeking a full refund and reporting these conditions to the local health department. Save yourself the trouble and avoid at all costs."

"We love to stay at the Munroe Inn; we have been staying there every trip to Maine for the last three years. It offers the old charm of a historic building with the modern conveniences of a hotel, making it unique because of the warm hospitality of the innkeeper, Olga. When exploring Maine for leisure, staying at B&B, in our opinion, is a way to go and essential to experience Maine as a place where "the way life should be" (Maine's motto). We recommend sampling Olga's breakfasts: delicious and healthy; she would even make it for early birds like us at 6:30 am! We appreciate the quiet setting of the Inn in the city's downtown, close to all major routes we want to visit. We experience the Inn in a new way every time we come, appreciating that each day starts and ends with ease and positive vibes. Thank you, Olga!"

"Had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had all the basic amenities you’d expect – good Wi-Fi, hot water, and helpful staff who were quick to respond to requests. The highlight for me was the pool. It was well-maintained, clean, and a great spot to unwind in the evenings. Surrounded by decent seating and a calm atmosphere, it made for a relaxing break from the day. Would consider staying here again."

Wolf Cove Inn ★★★
"Lovely Inn nestled on a pond, with no detail spared. We stayed in the Eagle's Nest cabin and it was beautiful. Clean and luxurious; working gas fireplace, comfy bed, cozy robes, clean, updated bathroom. The food was amazing, and the Inn was extremely cozy and just an all around hygge-inducing experience. Beautifully decorated, lit just right, and kept up with clear and intentional loving care. The staff was also super friendly. We will return for sure!"
