Don’t take food allergies seriously. Poor service Service at check in was terrible! We walked in and was met by a lady behind the desk who looked at us, grabbed her bag and walked off to sit at a nearby table- no greeting, smile or anything. Behind the desk in a back room, two coworkers were moving boxes around in clear view of us, even making eye contact…still no greeting. After finally coaxing a worker out of the room, we had an excuse of they needed to move the boxes about. As if stacking boxes is more important than checking people in. She ordered the woman sat on the table still on her phone to check us in, who then explained she walked off as her shift is over. I do have to give credit to one of the other receptionists we later met who was beyond polite and friendly. Moving on to breakfast, as someone with a food intolerance I make sure to make this clear at the time of booking - making sure to inform reception on arrival and a member of staff at breakfast/at the restaurant. At breakfast, I informed the member of staff of this and if they had gluten free options available to which they said yes. As nothing else was said, I assumed (as I’ve found when going elsewhere) my gluten free food may be in its own section on the restaurant floor. Imagine my happiness when I see signs saying 100% gluten free over the bread and croissants - clearly this means they’re gluten free (see pics attached)! Wrong!! The hotel is unable/ don’t care to take food allergies seriously. If you also have a food allergy BEWARE.
