The Chequers Inn

I came over to see family with my father to see family we came in and saw the Chequers in it is beautiful with a lot of history the lady who runs the inn is one of the nicest lady’s you could meet. The food was excellent and amazing service. The rooms were great everything you needed was there beds very comfy and everything very clean and any questions you wanted to ask she will help 100% of the time amazing service and I rate it 5 out of 5 would recommend very highly.

I was seeking a pub with accommodation for four nights in the Amersham area for a break and to take part in the Buckinghamshire Triathlon on Sunday 14th July. The pub is full of character and my room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and service courteous. The owners Nadia and her husband made me very welcome as did their bar person. I will definitely be returning soon.

Room very tired in need of decorating heating not working so was cold in the room TV not working either asked for a quite room but gave one at the front so there was a lot of road noise there was also a lot of noise when your neighbours turned a tap on or flushed the toilet etc so not a great night sleep

Very tired rooms. Bed linen should be white. Instead coloured linen that was clean but old and faded. The en-suite in room one was clean but could do with a refurbishment, the curtain stuck to you when trying a shower. The room was £99 and did not include breakfast.

We stayed here one night as we were supposed to be staying with friends, but we found I was very allergic to their cats. The hotel room was clean, quiet and comfortable which to be honest was all we wanted. We were concerned that it would be loud being over one of the only pubs open until 2am, but it wasn't at all and we both had a good nights sleep. The rooms were basic, but everything was clean and tidy.

Short work visit@ the Chequers of Amersham.Clean place with a welcomimg staff.Comfortable bed ,good shower with convinient access.Kettle was faulty but given free coffee at the bar. Pleasant walk to the old town high street. Breakfast extra but worth it.

The hosts were great, the rooms are not bad and it served us well during a business trip this week. Food was nice, especially breakfast! Good budget place to stay on the outskirts of London. Seems like a nice little family run business and was looked after from the moment we arrived.

Excellent location B&B. Basic, clean and good value for money. We booked 3 rooms for our family gathering and couldn't get a better service. Owners were very considerate for our needs.TV in one of the rooms didn't work on arrival but replaced later in the day. We will use them again

We chose this venue to hold a wake on Saturday 16th July 2022 for my dear loving brother-in-law Roy who sadly passed away on 25th June 2022. The funeral service was held at Chilterns Crematorium which is only a few minutes drive from the Chequers Inn in Amersham. My wife and I contacted and visited the venue prior and were met with the landlord Ciprian and his wife Nadia. They made us feel very welcome and organised the most wonderful Wake, which was really a celebration of life for Roy. The food was prepared on the day and was not only delicious but there was plenty to go round and such a large variety too. Ciprian was very accomodating setting up a large TV screen in the function room and allowing us to play our own music playlist on their music system. Nothing was too much trouble for them. At times like this you are desperate to find a venue which will meet your requirements, but to find the people as supportive and accomodating as Ciprian and Nadia was a bonus. Thank you both and all your staff for looking after us and all who attended on the day. We had nothing but praise from everyone as to how well everything was organised and carried out on the day. We are most grateful for making a very sad day transpire into a much lighter and happier event. We will certainly return here one day for a meal and a few drinks for sure. Well done and thank you again!
