Long John's Pub & Hotel

I had a great experience staying here. The room was clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast amazing! It is located at a nice square with a cinema and a lot of good restaurants close to it. The view of the church from the breakfast location is also a nice bonus.

I stayed in the hotel above the pub and couldn’t be happier. The room was comfortable and quaint. I had a roomed with a shared bathroom and shower, but had no problem with either. The bed was super comfortable and the WiFi was reliable. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The pub was fantastic. Breakfast was good, all the food for lunch and dinner was great, and of course, the selection of beers was on point. The town of Amersfoort is like stepping into a fairytale. Beautiful streets and buildings lined with canals. The bell tower was always playing something. Town people were friendly and helpful.

We needed a budget friendly place to stay in Amersfoort for the night so we decided on Long Johns Pub & Hotel. We were greeted with a smile when we came in and the friendly gentleman checked us in very quickly - we had pre checked online already so it was a breeze. We got our key and went up two flights of stairs to our room. Our room was just what we asked for - full bed with a shower in the room and the bathroom was right outside the door. The room was clean and as an added touch - Dutch mints were left by each of our pillows. There was a large wood desk, a stool and a place to hang our clothes with hangers. The attached shower room was clean and had a soap/shampoo dispenser in the shower. There was also a soap dispenser supplied at the sink. The WC (water closet/toilet room) outside the room was also clean and had spay that you could pre wipe the toilet with. There was a small sink in there as well. We had coffee and tea in the room and also a small refrigerator. The window opened to the square that the hotel corners. We were there on a Friday and there was a plant/flower market happening. Ear plugs aer supplied because apparently it can get quite loud but we didn't have any trouble with the noise. Just around the corner is a Main Street with shops, medieval buildings and plenty of places to get food.
