Bella Vista Resort Belize

The accommodation provides comfortable, spacious rooms with great air conditioning and convenient location near the pool and amenities. Guests praise the attentive and friendly staff and enjoy the varied breakfast options.

We arrived by ferry for a three night stay at the Bella Vista resort. The hotel sent a driver in a golf cart to pick us up from the ferry terminal. It was a 10 or 15 minute ride to the resort. The driver gave us rum punch, introduced us to the resort, and showed us to the stingray suite where we would be staying. The resort is not luxurious, but it is very comfortable. Our suite had a small kitchenette which included a coffee maker and coffee. We had a nice view of the pool and the ocean. It was extremely quiet during the days we were at the resort. My husband dove one day and the dive company picked him up at the resort dock. Right outside was the restaurant where we had some excellent meals. Normally, we don’t eat multiple meals at a hotel restaurant, but the food and the service and entertainment were all excellent. Beachside seating was heavenly on those balmy, tropical evenings. During our three nights at the resort, we heard Garifuna music, lovely guitar, and a saxophonist. For breakfast, we were introduced to fry jacks. There was happy hour every afternoon. The resort has a sister resort closer to town. They offer complementary transportation to that resort for a change in food or entertainment. We ate breakfast there on our final morning as we were being driven to the ferry terminal. Again we received friendly, enthusiastic service. My highest praise for this resort goes to the wonderful staff. We were treated so kindly and everyone went above and beyond what was expected. The owner even dropped by to see how we were doing as we dined one evening. The resort is a few miles out of town, but the staff arranged transportation when required. Had we more free time, it might have been nice to rent a golf cart and explore more. We would happily return.

Bella Vista is such a cute little spot. It's not a glitzy high end resort, but it is clean, safe, affordable and in a great location on Ambergris Caye. The Crocodile Villa offers 2 rooms, 1.5 baths plus outdoor shower, a full kitchen and living room with plenty of seats. The deck is shaded from late morning on, overlooks the pool and has a nice view of the ocean. The staff at the resort is FANTASTIC. Very attentive and friendly. Since the resort is on the north side of the bridge, it has a more relaxed vibe, but it's still not far from many great restaurants.
