The Hamilton Alpharetta, Curio Collection by Hilton

The server Elle at breakfast made our day. The restaurant was near full this morning and Elle worked it end to end. She remained calm, polite and professional while she hustled to take orders and check-in on every table. It was awesome to see someone perform so well in a tough situation.

Once I returned home from my trip I realized I left my dresses at the hotel. I called the desk in a panic. Luckily I spoke to Kimberly. She checked & located my dresses. She had them shipped to me & even followed up with a call to make sure I received them. I am beyond grateful for Kimberly & her kindness to ensure I was taken care of!!!!

The Hamilton has a lot going for it, but it didn’t quite deliver a satisfying stay. On the positive side, the location is excellent—right in downtown Alpharetta, in a walkable, lively neighborhood full of independent shops, restaurants, and a local vibe that’s a refreshing change from big-box blandness. The hotel itself looks great—modern, thoughtfully designed, and full of boutique charm—but the execution misses in key areas. My biggest issue was the room temperature: it never cooled below a sticky, humid 75 degrees. Even with the thermostat cranked down, it stayed warm and muggy the entire time, which made sleeping and relaxing difficult. The room was spacious but didn’t quite work. The layout felt off, and while it seemed like it was aiming for high-end, little details held it back—like a surprisingly small bathroom, limited closet space, and furniture that looked good but wasn’t comfortable or well-positioned. Other guests have noted the same—form over function. Noise was also an issue. I could hear hallway chatter and doors closing clearly, and the in-room soundproofing didn’t seem to do much. It wasn’t overwhelming, but noticeable enough to be distracting. Staff were pleasant and the public spaces were clean, but overall the hotel felt like it prioritized aesthetics over comfort. Not a bad stay, just one that didn’t live up to its potential. With a few fixes, it could be great—but for now, it’s solidly “meh.”

A very welcoming hotel. We initially had an air conditioning issue with our room… immediately an engineer popped up to check it out…the hotel was completely booked for that night but a fan was sent to our room.. we were moved the next day to another room.. Kimberly , the manager, was the most perfect coordinator and made us feel like we really mattered. We were visiting the area in an effort to try out a horse for purchase…outside activity in July definitely requires an air conditioned environment…so, returning to a warm room was not acceptable. Kimberly deserves a bonus for all the care she took to ensure we were happy and comfortable!! Thank you KIMBERLY!!!
