"We stayed at the Alpbacherin for 5 days and were pampered from start to finish. The rooms are very nice and spacious and have beds for a healthy and long sleep. "An excellent hotel and a comfortable and very clean hotel. We come to Alpbach several times a year to hike and only to this hotel. The owners are incredibly friendly, the rooms are totally clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, everything is from the region and leaves nothing to be desired. 4 star hotels can learn a thing or two from this. For me it is actually a 4 star hotel. I can only recommend it to everyone"

"This is a family run hotel, they make you very welcome. The staff are great and make you feel right at home. The hotel has a range of rooms from traditional to modern. We had a traditional room up in the oldest part of the hotel under the eves - room 333, it was cozy but the sloping ceilings made showering in the bathroom unworkable without drenching everything. I would suggest you look at more modern rooms if you are thinking about staying here. The views from the hotel are spectacular, the public rooms elegant and comfortable. The wellness centre in the basement is excellent; there is an indoor pool that is linked to the outdoor pool, steam rooms, saunas, rest areas and showers. There are a range of treatments you can have at a cost. It's clean and delightful The food at this hotel is exceptional as is the wine list (that can be pricey). Their evening menu is effectively seven courses. Dishes are inventive and delicious. It makes this hotel very popular with locals and visitors and is not to be missed."

"Fabulous hotel with amazing staff. One of our party was injured on day 1, the manager provided us with crutches, nothing was too much trouble! The restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful each day and the food was amazing, plenty of choice. The spa, pool and sun terrace were all fantastic! We had a fabulous room, very spacious. We’ll definitely be back!"

"I was with my family (2 adults and 2 children) in August and the stay was extremely pleasant. The kids had a lot of fun with both the indoor (slides, bowling, mini club area) and outdoor attractions (farm, ebike, soccer) The staff has always been helpful and pleasant. The card that allows you to use the services and attractions in the valley for free is also much appreciated. If I have to find some ideas for improvement...1) the limited space in the family pool 2) the culinary offer at dinner. I have to tell the truth, I don't think it's a limitation of the structure but of the entire area, not absolutely comparable to what is proposed in South Tyrol or the Dolomites. In any case, I recommend the structure and consider it suitable for families with children"

"Two of us went for what we booked as a fixed course dinner. Very confusing as menu had individual courses priced but no fixed menu price. Shambolic uninformative service. Mediocre food at spectacular prices. Plain salad from buffet. Microscopic starter, adequate main and tasteless ice cream self served from buffet. Two drinks. 120 euro. You can do very much better in this pretty village."
