"This is a family run hotel, they make you very welcome. The staff are great and make you feel right at home. The hotel has a range of rooms from traditional to modern. We had a traditional room up in the oldest part of the hotel under the eves - room 333, it was cozy but the sloping ceilings made showering in the bathroom unworkable without drenching everything. I would suggest you look at more modern rooms if you are thinking about staying here. The views from the hotel are spectacular, the public rooms elegant and comfortable. The wellness centre in the basement is excellent; there is an indoor pool that is linked to the outdoor pool, steam rooms, saunas, rest areas and showers. There are a range of treatments you can have at a cost. It's clean and delightful The food at this hotel is exceptional as is the wine list (that can be pricey). Their evening menu is effectively seven courses. Dishes are inventive and delicious. It makes this hotel very popular with locals and visitors and is not to be missed."

"While the evening service in the restaurant was excellent, the overall experience fell well short of expectations for a five-star hotel. Due to the open kitchen, the smell of food permeated the entire property — already noticeable at breakfast and even more so at lunchtime. The spa area was underwhelming and lacked the sophistication one would expect from a luxury property. From the outside, the hotel also fails to present the elegance typical of its rating. Particularly troubling were the poor standards of cleanliness in our room, including visible dirt left by previous guests, and the front desk staff, whose service was unfortunately chaotic and unprofessional. One positive note: the Wi-Fi connection was reliable and fast throughout the property. A stay here might suit less demanding guests, but for those expecting true five-star quality, this is not the right place."

"I stayed at the hotel together with 200 of my collegues on a conference that lasted four days. The hotel itsel is nice even though it is impossible to learn how to find your way to the room since there are several buildings built together. The service at the bar was really unorganised and there where seven people standing in the bar but only two that actually served bear and drinks, and only one person that you could pay to. The other ones could only receive the free drinking voucher that we received, but when you have used the voucher you had to pay, to that one person that had the cashier machine. The worst part was that the hotel lost my quite expensive blouses. I had a single room and forgot two of my blouses in the wardrobe, that was of course my own fault but when I called and asked if they had found them, it was impossible for them to find them in the room. How is that possible? I stayed on my own in the room and we left on a monday so I guess no one actually stayed in the room after me. The blowses where hanged neatly in the wardrobe, they were not hard to find. This was my second time in alpbach, actually my second conference and if I need to go there again I will just stay at home and not join. "

"Very friendly staff, beautiful bedrooms with super comfortable large beds. Very delicious and plentiful breakfast. The evening meal was always heavenly. The pool is warm and practical for swimming with massage jets 😀😉 I also went to the gym every day. We will be back. The hotel is highly recommended. Thank you for everything."
