The Level at Melia Alicante

The Level offers a brilliant experience and exceeded my expectations. Lovely comfy rooms with either a marina or beach view, with a huge TV and good wifi. The Level lounge with free drinks (hot, cold, wine, beer) and snacks all day was fantastic and the dedicated Level pool is very nice, and heated in winter (which many Spanish pools are not). The hotel itself is very handy for the old town and the airport bus stops right outside. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful too.

We had a brilliant stay at The Level, helped along nicely by a team who clearly know how to keep things running smoothly. Silvia organised our airport transfers with such efficiency that we briefly wondered if she secretly runs Alicante Airport as well. Daniel then stepped in to sort a last-minute room upgrade faster than we could say “sea view, please,” which instantly set the tone for a great stay. Our room was bright, comfortable, and came with a cracking balcony view of Postiguet Beach — the kind of view that makes you consider abandoning all responsibilities and taking up permanent residence. Now, we knew there was a large amount of building work going on at the hotel, but honestly? We barely saw or heard a thing. Whatever project-management wizardry was going on behind the scenes deserves an award. If they can keep renovations hidden from guests, they could probably run a smooth Brexit. All in all, The Level delivered exactly what we needed: great service, a calm atmosphere, and small touches that made the stay feel special. We’d happily return — ideally before everyone else finds out how good it is.

Excellent hotel, very central to the city centre, customer service from all of the staff exceptional, housekeeping very good, food standard & presentation amazing. Would defintely recommend the hotel and would defintely return in the not so distant future. Level experience was amazing and exceptional.

Fabulous experience and excellent service at the level. This is our second time staying at the level for my husband's birthday and Especial mention to Gloria she is professional and excellent service. In fact all of them from Silvia the waiting personnel she is an amazing and elegant woman and Hisham . Rosanna was the best and excellent cook , the best thing was the staff the service is first class like Sara, Susana, Lucia, Sophia were always greeted with a smile. Our room was stunningly beautiful , clean and satisfying so thank you to all the staff who cleaned the room , I cannot remember all their names but I had amazing service. I recommended this hotel to everyone ,I am sure we will be back soon.

We had problems at first. These were dealt with extremely well when brought to the attention of management. Our room was changed and the second room was fabulous (although we paid more for it). Again, after explaining to staff, great attention was paid to a food intolerance. Also, as a level guest you can eat in the a la carte restaurant where the food is delicious, the food in the buffetrestaurantwas not good. The Level lounge is a lovely bright space and the breakfasts in there were superb. Only small issue was too many sunbeds around the level pool area made it feel very crowded.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Stayed in The Level. Room 5022. The staff were exceptional. Left handbag with money in by the pool. Didn’t realise until the next day. Reception had the bag and nothing had been touched. So grateful. Room was beautiful, The Level lounge was lovely. Adults only pool great. Thank you Meliá, Alicante. Will definitely return.
