Amazing stay

Old and run down in the middle of nowhere with no scenery around, but a wire fence giving you a nice prison atmosphere. Non existent service.

I have just visited your property and returned, I think it has been my worst experience at a Taj property in recent years. It was a very unTaj experience for sure and I noticed most guests had the same experience. I am documenting the feedback for your reference, it is long but will highlight just a few for now. Cutlery and plates were dirty, in room service and also in the restaurant, got dirty cutlery, how is it even possible I was wondering. Happened 4 times with us. (highlighted and showed the same) Bathroom commode wasn’t clean since our arrival & housekeeping didn’t address the same till I didn’t call Lalit (highlighted to the team) Spa air condition wasn’t functional (highlighted to the therapist) Guests playing badminton and yelling and shouting in the atrium, we are staying in a resort and not on some streets (highlighted and informed to team multiple times) Check-in a problem, after reaching post 1530hrs, had to wait for the room for over an hour. Check-out was again tedious and took close to 45 minutes to wrap up the billing. Breakfast items were nearly Jain, starting from sambhar, poha, sevai, etc, etc. It is best that the hotel team mentions the same well in advance and let us take a call whether it is fine with us. Informed all to Lalit and he tried to be helpful but he wouldn’t do much from his end I think. He was extremely co-operative but Diana from F&B wasn’t even receptive to the feedback shared with her, didn’t ask a single question or bother to understand anything. Observation : most guests were complaining, had to raise their voices to get things from the staff. I was surprised that with all this a mess, there were no seniors or GM missing especially when it was holiday season and the hotel was completely sold out. I personally feel the team is too raw and needed handholding to address all the concerns of the guests. Taj standards are dropping these days, my experience in Goa was also not to the mark.

Visited TAJ Alibaug - Resort and Spa with 11 other family members immediately after Diwali 2025. Wonderful and a Memorable Experience where the very people taking care of the brand TAJ, lived up to its billing. It is unfair that I am not able to recollect everyone's name but Lalit, Himanshi , Anjali, to name a few were at their courteous best when handling guests, not just us but even others where I saw a few disagreements being handled in an ice cooled manner. Food was excellent !! The property is very well maintained and as my father in law put it, "with a sprawling property with amenities like this, you need not go out anywhere else for relaxation" Rooms were clean and housekeeping staff was always on its toes and more importantly, extremely polite. The best part was that based on our request, they allowed us to occupy all our 4 rooms for almost 1.5 hours beyond our stay on the last day, without charging a single rupee extra... Which 5 Star Hotel would be so kind ?

We Checked-In on 26th and Checked-Out on 29th October 25. Our Room # were 3106 and 3107 in C-Wing. Rooms were very nice, neat and clean. We had Breakfast and any One major meal included in our package for all of us ( Total 05 Guests ). The Breakfast spread was lavish with several options, however the Dinner Buffet spread was not good. It had limited options plus the dishes were cold when we entered the restaurant to eat at 22:00 hours on both the days. We were aware that the Buffet entry closes at 23:00 hours but that does not mean that the food in the Chafing dishes is okay to be cold. We had a very horrible experience on the evening of 27th October when the Buggy in which we were travelling from the Indoor Recreation area till the C Wing met with an accident since driver Mr Lalit lost his Control while climbing up the slope towards the building and the buggy went off the path and entire right side of the buggy fell into the pit breaking three flooring tiles as well. My Wife and Daughter got hurt due to this and my wife's last finger of Left hand had Swollen up immediately with bruises over her hands and legs. The driver apologised got scared and informed us post the accident that this happened as the buggy was overloaded with Pax weight but the same was not informed to us before starting the buggy trip neither were we informed that the buggy could not carry 06 People ( 05 Pax + 01 Driver ). Our entire recreation plans for 28th and 29th October went down the drain since my wife was in severe pain and so was my daughter. This was a very scary incident that happened and it could have been fatal since the gentleman driving the buggy was not a buggy specialist driver and was from Front Office Dept. On the other hand PFB the Positive Feedback for Mr Pratesh Parekar and Mr Shreekant Kadam : 1) Right from the time of our check-in till our check-out, Mr Pratesh Parekar from the Front Office Dept. was very helpful and Provided us with a wonderful experience. He assisted us in a swift checkin, Provided information on a lot of local wherabout on being asked and also took care of all our needs during our entire stay. He was frequently checking with us whether we were comfortable throughout our stay and also ensured that we were well taken care off. Even after we checked out on 29th October he went out of his way to search for my son's Rayban Sunglasses which we had forgotten in the vehicle which had dropped us to the hotel during our check-in. Not only did he trace the driver but also ensured that he found the sunglasses and couriered it to us to mumbai. He was just amazing in his Overall Customer Service. A Gem of a Person and an Asset to the Taj Resort Alibag. 2) The other wonderful experience provided was by Mr Shreekant Kadam the recreation Representative who went out of his way and ensured that our kids had a gala time. Excellent reception and overall service . Especially at Reception with staff Rahul was very calm and composed and despite a mistake from my end on booking dates made us feel comfortable and found the right solution with support from his senior who was also cooperative. That was a great start to the experience at Taj epitomizing the spirit of service .
