Alcester Inn

Stayed here before. Great place to stay good price too. All staff very friendly. Room is basic but clean and everyone you need for a short break. Ample free parking. Breakfast is extra cost but very reasonable fteshly cooked and ample.

Like another recent reviewer we too had an Activity Superstore voucher for a 2-night stay, given for my special birthday. It cost my brother £179 which included afternoon tea which the inn does not offer though that part of the voucher can be redeemed at a few places too far away to be of any use. Since rooms were advertised at £44 that night, my brother was conned! We stayed one night and left. The staff were lovely and the room and shower room were clean enough but it reminded me of rented student accommodation in the 1970s. There were strange yellow marks on the bathroom flooring, the top of the heater was rusty, there were marks all over the carpet, the blind had dirty marks on it and there were flies in the bathroom light fitting. There was no towel rail, just a small double hook for 2 bath and one hand towel, and nowhere to put your wash bag in the shower room except the floor. If you wanted a hairdryer you had to ask for it at the check in area next to the bar. We slept ok but and ate an unremarkable lasagna and Hunter's chicken in the bar. Strangely there is no sign to indicate the entrance to the car park, which is not on St Faith's Road and in fact we couldn't find an entrance on that road which is in a housing estate! An effort has been made to smarten up the rooms with new wallpaper in the corridors too, but the overall experience was a huge disappointment. When we left early I was asked why so I explained all the above, which was 'written down for the manager.'

Stayed here for 2 nights very disappointed the carpets are filthy we had 3 rooms and was all the same ,dirty mattresses dirty towels we had a towel left by other guests behind the bathroom door dont know how long it was left but smellt terrible the lad behind the bar agreed he then told us that the manager will come and see us but she never did , wouldn't stay here again

We had an Activity Superstore voucher for a 2 night stay. We looked around and eventually chose Alcester Inn in Warwickshire. My goodness are we so pleased we did it. It’s an Inn in the village of Alcester and it is amazing. The staff were so friendly, the food is plentiful and reasonably priced (the standard breakfast filled me up for the day). The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfy. We don’t come to this part of the country very often (we live in Essex) but I would 100% recommend staying here. If we didn’t have to go back to work tomorrow, I’d have booked a longer stay. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely break.

Amazing historical village Extremely friendly staff. Hayley was 6 Always smiling. Very comfortably and clean. Food was first class and the locals were very welcoming. Excellent central position for Oxford , Stratford and all surrounding historical towns. Excellent value for .money. will be booking again to continue our tour of the Cotswold.

Ground floor room. Disturbed by adults and young people presumably leaving the bar late in the evening. No air conditioning meant very hot room unless window to car park left open. Bar tables sticky, needing a proper clean.
