Motel 6 Albert Lea, MN

Being a Motel 6, it's difficult to lodge a complaint when it's the age old: "You get what you pay for." And in this instance, I certainly did. The shower room had wall chippings all over the tub, yet there was still a nice little towel and shampoo set laid out on the side. I had to wonder.... was this set out before they drilled into the wall, or after? Because either way it wasn't cleaned up. I've stayed in motels like this before, and obviously if you're on the road, you stop when you need to. Yet, this had to have been one of the worst I've seen. None of the lights were even plugged in and I had to drag the bed out to access the outlet.

I would give zero stars or negative stars if I could. I had a prepaid reservation. Prepaid! I show up, and not to be disrespectful or racist, but the staff did not speak great English, but they communicated that they had no rooms. I showed them the confirmation, which showed that it was a prepaid reservation, no room. I ended up going to a different hotel, but totally unprofessional they should’ve canceled the reservation, I’m going to dispute the charges with my bank. Because I did try to talk to the manager, and I got nowhere. Very extremely unprofessional.

The only 2 bath towels, no wash cloths, no hand towels. Hair in tub. Alarm kept going off in the middle of the night. The TV was messed up. No elevator, our room was on the 3rd floor.

not clean at all. Exterior doors dont lock. Room door safety latch dont work. Nasty place

This property is no longer even a real motel. There is no one at the front desk and they don't answer the phone they say to pick up & call. When I finally got help, the room had flies all over it. The building is mostly occupied by people who do not appear to be hotel guests - it is housing locals from the community. When I returned to my room, my key card would no longer open the door and I could not access my room or belongings. Nobody was at the desk and no one answered the phone to help. Constant noise above my room throughout the night made it almost impossible to sleep. Although I could not get a refund, I did not stay at the property the second night because the experience did not feel entirely safe. This was the worst motel experience of my life. ******* should remove this property from their website immediately.

The stairwells were dirty. The hallways had an odor and did not seem clean. The towels were few and not very good. At least the beds looked clean and the AC worked.
