The World Backwaters, Alleppey

Our stay was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality. The resort’s location is stunning, creating a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere perfect for a relaxing retreat. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the modern amenities. We especially loved the balcony, which offered breathtaking views and a tranquil spot to unwind. The resort’s grounds were immaculately maintained, enhancing the overall sense of serenity. The restaurants served an array of delicious dishes, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, from lounging by the pool to engaging in adventure sports. Overall its the perfect destination for anyone looking to relax in luxury.

We went there to celebrate my daughter birthday. It was over in a jiffy. The place is idyllic both during day and night but what makes it special is the hospitality. The Main Chef Pratheesh and team Appreciate the amazing gesture!! The Checkout process was also quick. Thanks Ms. Aswathy for your great service. It was really good experience, the food, the location, the room, the activities and all it is all real good. The staff service is also good and I was guided by Deepa, she is a very helpful person who helped me with my experience in this hotel....

We stayed at this resort with my family for 2 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. Here’s a summary of our stay: 1) Location: The resort is located at a stunning spot on Vembanad Lake, far from the busy city of Alleppey, offering a peaceful and picturesque environment. I must commend the WGH group for maintaining this resort so well. The location is simply breathtaking. 2) Rooms: The rooms were clean, spacious, and equipped with all the modern amenities. The sleep quality was excellent, and we felt very comfortable during our stay. 3) Staff and Service: The staff were friendly, professional, and highly cooperative. The service was top-notch and always prompt, adding to the overall experience. 4) Facilities: The resort has a well-maintained pool, including a kids' pool. There’s also a gym, spa, bicycles for riding, and indoor/outdoor games like badminton, archery, and basketball—all very well maintained. We especially enjoyed cycling and archery. There’s also a separate play area for kids, which was a great addition. 5) Spa: The resort offers excellent spa packages with Ayurvedic massages. We chose the full-body massage, and it was an exceptional experience. The staff are well-trained, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of service provided. 6) Food: The food was outstanding. We had most of our meals at the resort and were impressed with the portion sizes, quality, and taste. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of multi-cuisine options, and the dinner and lunch menus were equally impressive, even including regional Indian and continental dishes. The North Indian dishes, in particular, exceeded our expectations. My only suggestion would be to add a couple more snacks to the complimentary high-tea or consider renaming it to Tea/Coffee. 7) Check-in and Check-out: The process was smooth, and we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink. Upon checkout, we were pleasantly surprised with a kids' snack kit—a thoughtful gesture we had never experienced at any other hotel or resort. It was a wonderful touch of hospitality. 8) Special Arrangements: The staff also helped organize a lovely birthday celebration for my daughter near the pool area, and their assistance made it a memorable event. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and my kids were reluctant to leave. They wished we could stay longer to enjoy the beauty and amenities of the resort even more. A truly wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it for a peaceful family getaway and would love to re-visit in future.

The pillows are hard and I couldn’t sleep for 2 days. There were a few problems but overall this is a very good place I loved the view, the private and public swimming pool and lots of outdoor activities people don’t need phone here, Good place.

The ambiance , pools & streams with multicolored Koi carps and the green lawns full of multiple tree species together with the great view of the sprawling water body , the Vembanad lake , take you to another world. Butterflies crowding around a type of leguminous plant is a site not so common Food served at the restaurant is excellent. One have to find excuses to extend the stay . Unfortunately it seldom may be possible as the place is most of the time full to its capacity.

The ambience and service extended by the staff at world backwaters was top notch.very courteous and friendly staff!they put in a lot of hard work and effort in the upkeep of the property.felt like home away from home!a much needed break made complete by wgh-the world backwaters!

The resort is wonderfully located in back waters of vembanad lake. Excellent property maintenance. Facilities are very good and hospitality is excellent. Cleanliness is one point which shows their level of hospitality. Mainly the chef pradish food was awesome and the best we had, best care taken by deepa , mithun and krishna in loving service and care.. The best resort with best ambience and great food.... Everything was perfect. Food, ambience, cleanliness, service, property, all were equally good. Swimming pool was a bliss. They also give us extra facilities like basketball, cycle, archery for their guests. We had a beautiful stay here.
