Exceeded expectations! I originally planned to stay for one night, but I thought it was good, so I stayed another night. The hotel upgraded to a villa. The service and meals were great. The hotel is on a small island, 2 and a half hours drive from Abu Dhabi, and then you need to take a ferry to the island. The experience is wonderful! Featured location with amazing surroundings and ocean view, however is somehow not worthy of 4 hours of journey from Dubai. The beach behind the hotel is under construction when arrived and the staicase in right hand side of the building is extremely dirty and stinky. Furthermore, the service and cuisine of Al Shams restaurant is below average level for a 5 star hotel restaurant. Most of the value of this resort comes from its location and natrual view, will not visit again.

The hotel is upgrading and sent me an email in advance to apologize. The outside is fenced off.
The service is OK, but the combs provided by the hotel are of terrible quality! My mother said it is really not worthy of this hotel.
The hotel dinner is quite delicious, especially the lamb chops, which are really well grilled. The snacks are also delicious, and the desserts are huge, we didn't finish them.
