房間有些老舊,但是緊挨樂園,出行方便,在餐廳旁邊有個小門直通樂園,中午從樂園回來可以吃個自助餐再去,很方便

Having just returned from Mexico. Our stay at Occidental Xcaret was meant to be a relaxing 2 weeks in the sun, with good food, drinks & a friendly holiday atmosphere with family. THIS HOTEL DOESN’T DELIVER MUCH OF THAT! Upon arrival, no greeting, they expect you to know where you’re going. (We had stayed previously 14 years ago so knew where we were going & what to do) Checking in, they only had 1 out of the 2 rooms booked (same booking, same name) so no real excuse. We were “allowed” to stay, once we paid again for a couple of days! Subject to the reservations team verifying our booking the following day. Once we had been allocated our sub standard room, & received our refund, we were given the room we originally booked (we were happy at last, but this didn’t last long). There is one serious niggle that got to us every day. Stop trying to sell the vacation club to people once they decline. Being pushy alongside fake friendliness is a big no no. Every day, they try to engage you in a conversation to then go on to push their vacation club packages. We are here to relax not talk business! Safe to say if you actually enjoy food & culinary delights, AVOID THIS HOTEL! The buffet restaurant is full of the same dishes every day, plain & simple, mass produced, tasteless crap & the service is terrible, if you like chilli, it’s there every day alongside burgers & watery cheese pasta. (The service was bad, unless you tip them, which we noticed people do on more than one occasion) So basically you pay thousands of dollars (coming from Europe) to stay & eat here, but wait …. You’ll need to pay again to be served properly!! Towards the end of our 2 weeks, we actually had 3 servers who were genuinely interested in being friendly. 2 from the main buffet restaurant & Salvadore in the seafood restaurant. The speciality restaurants are slightly better however the service from most staff is terrible, especially in the Italian. 10 days in, we receive a letter stating we need to move rooms (yes, again!) due to scheduled maintenance on our block. They must have known before allocating the room to us?? We’d booked for 2 weeks! So we are unhappy with the hotel once again. The staff honestly don’t care about the guests. They offered us an “upgrade” (same room type, just with steps into the noisy kids pool). They did however give us a late checkout. But hardly recompense for the upheaval we endured during our stay. Rating the hotel would go like this: Rooms: 6/10 Food: 1/10 Staff: 3/10 - (1 is too low as some were actually friendly) Hotel Grounds: 9/10 (it’s beautiful everywhere) Would we recommend to anyone? Most Definitely NOT! It’s a completely different experience to what we experienced years ago.

We stayed in the Royal section from 9/5-9/13. We were picked up on a golf cart and taken to the Royal check in and it went very quickly. I can't say enough good things about the ladies working in this area. I wish I could remember everyone's name but Sandra, Iris and Giovani were all amazing. Mireya working the Royal pool always made sure we had full cups. Our first night we ate at the main buffet. I would give it a 2 out of 10. Bland cold food with no selection and this was 20 minutes after opening for dinner. We had breakfast, lunch and most of the dinners at the Royal restaurant and the food was great as was the service. I recommend the French toast. The staff was very friendly and would get anything you asked for. We only ate ala carte one night and that was at the Oriental. They had a very good selection, large portions and great service. We had room service twice and both times the food came fast just don't try and order nachos before 10:00 PM. The resort and grounds were kept looking good but we felt the area around the Royal pool could have been cleaned more often. A lot of what I read said the resort was too big to walk around. It's not and there are shuttles about every 15 minutes. This resort has tons of wildlife too. Our room was cleaned and the mini fridge was stocked daily with soda and beer. One weird thing did happen. One of the cleaning girls took a whole box of my wife's tampons. I guess she needed them more.

Birthday Trip Ruined – Downgraded Without Notice & Poor Service We booked our stay at Occidental at Xcaret Destination nearly five months in advance, and upgraded to the Royal Level a month before arrival to celebrate both my wife’s and my birthday with our 10-month-old son. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable trip became one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. What Went Wrong: • Downgrade Without Notice: On the day of our flight, the hotel canceled our Royal Level reservation without warning and downgraded us to a Junior Suite. This “suite” was no different from a regular room. • Poor Service: Staff made us feel like an inconvenience. Asking for basics like towels or bags for wet clothes required 3–5 reminders, and even then service felt reluctant. • Birthday Amenities: We received the “sparkling wine and chocolate strawberries” only the day before checkout. What arrived was insulting: three tiny strawberries and a mini bottle of warm sparkling wine shoved into a fridge that barely worked. • Special Requests Ignored: I had flowers for my wife’s birthday but, since no vase or bucket was provided despite repeated requests, I had to keep them alive in a trash bin filled with water. • Unhelpful Management: When I spoke with the manager, he wasted over an hour of my vacation and resolved nothing. • Family-Unfriendly: Changing stations in restrooms are almost nonexistent, making it very difficult for families with young children. Staff offered no help when we asked. • Food & Drinks: Outside the Royal Level, food was mediocre and drinks were low quality. Staff in Royal areas looked down on us as if we didn’t belong—even though that’s what we had originally booked and paid for. Pros: • Beautiful grounds with lush greenery and wildlife. • Direct access to Xcaret Park. Final Thoughts: What should have been a special celebration turned into a trip we’ll remember for all the wrong reasons. The mishandling of our reservation, lack of basic service, and dismissive treatment ruined our stay. For the price and reputation, this is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel, especially if you are booking for a special occasion or traveling with family.

Beautiful resort. Unfortunately food and drinks were underwhelming. I wish gastronomy matched the gorgeous grounds.
