Location is at the main Karakul Lake viewing area. Parking lot is shared with the scenic area, so can be crowded during the day. Very short walk to the lake. Lots of stalls selling food, souvenirs, and oxygen canisters. Main restaurant is pretty good for dinner. Breakfast is a 9-box tray assortment. Rooms are like pods.

The staff are all friendly and very helpful
Hotel provides oxygen bottles
Worth it if you're hoping to catch the sunrise over the lake
Beautiful surrounding but there can be plentiful mosquitoes around the area during the warmer months
Night time can be tough due to lack of oxygen

The boss upgraded the room that day. The view was nice, facing Muztagh Ata. I can only say that the price was paid for the snow-capped mountains and lakes at the door. Apart from the superb location and scenery, the other facilities were average. Although there was hot water, it had a smell. The mineral water was Nongfu Spring green bottle, which I don't usually drink. There were also two bottles of tree sap water. The bathroom had a smell.

The biggest problem with the room was the strong sewer odor. It felt like I was sleeping in a toilet all night, and the stench kept me awake. The toilet and shower area were especially close together, and the stench was incredibly intense once I opened the door. It was speechless.
