"The staff mistakenly gave my room to another guest, which caused some trouble and frustration. However, after being assigned a second-floor room on the beachfront, my mood improved. The guesthouse is located approximately 800 meters from the center of Akaroa, right next to the beach, making it convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with ocean views from the bedroom, lounge, and dining table. Enjoying a snack while enjoying the ocean view from the small balcony is truly a delight."

"So disappointing. I stayed at this hotel when I came to the South Island in April 2019. I thought the location was good. This time my whole family came to New Zealand and came back to Akaroa specifically. We chose this hotel, but at night the only thing in the room was a wall heater. The heater only heats up for 3 minutes, and then there is a cold blast. The hot water does not heat up after the person in front of the bath water has used it. The Wi-Fi is also very slow and sometimes disconnected, so choose carefully."

"The location is fantastic, right next to the pier, making it convenient for watching Hector's dolphins. The room is cozy and well-equipped, with free parking. Driving from Christchurch, I highly recommend staying overnight. Akaroa is truly beautiful, a bit like southern France. The sunset over the sea in the evening is stunning. There are several restaurants to the right of the hotel, and the food is really good. I highly recommend it! Turn left and walk for 5 minutes to the lighthouse. The scenery along the way is amazing!"

"This is an extremely noisy hotel with gigs running right beneath the bedroom. The service is nonexistent. We were not advised of the gig, and got no acknowledgement, let alone a reply, to our complaint. The location while OK is away from the village centre and right on a big car park."
