Take siteseeing bus from Aizu-wakamatzu Station and short walk. Good location.

The service from staff was excellent and very thoughtful. Food, although kaiseki, had interesting modern touches and was very good. Pity it doesn’t have the onsen town feel of Shibu-Onsen and the like, but would recommend it for a few days stay. We’d likely return in future.

I am very satisfied with my stay this time. The hotel has been renovated and the room is large and comfortable. The hot springs and meals are also great! We went there when the leaves were just beginning to turn red, and the scenery was great.

It has both beautiful scenery and delicious food, a long history, and excellent service. It is a very good hot spring vacation experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Kutsurogijuku Shintaki in February 2025. The road up to the property was quite snowy, and we were a bit concerned in our smaller car, but upon arrival, we found the staff actively attending to the road, directing guests, and ensuring smooth access to ample parking at the top of the hill. The parking lot conveniently connects to the main building, and clear signage (including English translations) guided us to the front desk on the first floor. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, providing assistance with sufficient English. We stayed in Room 11, which was impeccably clean, well-prepared, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The room featured modern amenities, including separate toilet and shower rooms, a table, bar, and refrigerator stocked with both complimentary (tea, juice, beer) and paid (wine, whisky) drinks. The beds were large and comfortable, complemented by a desk, futon, and smart TV. Leisure clothing was provided for guests, and the bathroom was stocked with high-quality toiletries and personal care products. One of the highlights of our stay was the private onsen attached to the room. The mineral spring water was clean and refreshing, and the spacious outdoor deck overlooked the river while maintaining privacy behind a lattice screen. It was a fantastic space for hours of relaxing soaking. Our room also provided access to a VIP lounge, which offered additional complimentary and for-purchase snack and drink options. Throughout the property, we enjoyed various amenities, including a library, ping pong area, and several inviting indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces. The staff worked tirelessly to maintain the rooms, ensure a welcoming environment, and even cleared the snow from our vehicle each morning—a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. The meals were another highlight of our experience. Breakfast was an abundant brunch buffet featuring a variety of excellent options, including both traditional Japanese and Western-style dishes. Each night, we enjoyed multi-course dinners showcasing seasonal and local ingredients, with an ever-changing selection of seafood, beef, and other regional delicacies. Every meal was beautifully presented, fresh, and incredibly flavorful, complemented by outstanding service. As a tall (6'3") and larger (350 lbs) guest, I found the accommodations very comfortable, though I did need to duck in a few places, and the provided leisure clothing did not fit me. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning. One small improvement I would suggest is offering more non-alcoholic beverage options at meals, including sparkling mineral water, which would be a refreshing option between onsen soaks. While we primarily enjoyed the private onsen in our room, we briefly checked out the public baths, which were well-maintained, with a clearly defined schedule for men's, women's, and private soaking times. The parking lot near the building is narrow and you will be directed to park in the farthest parking lot as you arrive. The lobby was clean and the lounge provided complimentary drinks. I didn't have to fill in the check-in myself, and after being guided to the room, I was able to relax in the room immediately after dinner and the inside of the hotel. The room and bathroom were large enough for three people to relax. There were many free drinks in the room, which was great. At first glance, the room looked clean, but only the air purifier and hair dryer were covered in dust. Even though I was instructed to fill the humidifier with water myself, it was still filled with water, so I threw it away and put it back in. The front desk told me that the rock bath is too small to recommend, so I enjoyed the two large baths, but it was a quiet hot spring with a view of the river, and it was comfortable. Since we live in the mountains, we had a lot of vegetables for dinner, but many of the dishes were flavored with soup stock and looked beautiful. Unfortunately, the grilled fish was lukewarm. Because the price was high, I thought the main dish would be Japanese beef, but I was a little disappointed that it was domestic beef. After dinner, my friend had a stomach ache, so I asked the front desk for directions and was told it was a 15 minute walk, so we set off on foot. The temperature was -4 degrees Celsius, it was snowing a little, the ground was frozen solid, and we walked for about 30 minutes trying not to fall. Taxi on the way home. When I looked it up later, the distance was 1.7km. When I told the man at the front desk about it, he answered, "I always walk in 15 minutes." I was angry that the remark came out before the apology. How many people do you think can walk a snowy ice van and a 1.7km snowy road in 15 minutes? Still, the bath in the room was too great, so I was more satisfied. Only one person at the front desk was disappointing because there were many good places.

会津料理を食したくてここにしました。 私は運良くホテル前駐車場に止めれましたが、車が多いと駐車場が狭く橋向こうの駐車場に停める事になります。 チェックインを済ますとウェルカムドリンクコーナーで梅酒や焼酎まで頂く事ができました。 お風呂は貸切の岩風呂以外は私は良かったです、猿の湯が印象的でした。 もう一つの貸切風呂もせせらぎを聴きながらゆっくりつかる事ができます。 食事は野菜中心の会津料理、郷土料理を知る事ごでき美味しく頂く事ができました。 部屋はベッドの二間続きで広々してゆっくり過ごせました。 チェックインも11時で朝食後もお風呂にゆっくり入れてリラックスできました。

ホテルは古いけど良かった。 お風呂はイメージ写真と 実物はことなりガッカリする 可能性が高いです とにかく古さを感じます。 料理は普通です。 混ぜご飯はオススメしません。 接客とサービスやスタッフのみなさん の対応はとてもよく満足出来ました とても素晴らしいです。 お部屋も和室でしたが それが癒しに感じます。 ネスレなどが設置されて コーヒーカプセルがあったりは 一切ありません。 ちょっと残念です。 お客様にゆっくりして欲しいから と書いてあった気がします。 売店にミネラルウオーターを買うと 一本200円します。 水分は事前に購入してからホテルに 入ることをオススメします。

千代滝の姉妹館で、それぞれに泊まりました。 徒歩で3分ぐらいだけど、日中　観光に行っている時に荷物を運んでくれました。 部屋は改装されていて快適。感動したのは夕食。ダイニングでの郷土料理のフルコースは、他で見たことが無く、豪華な食材を使っているわけでなくても和食の基礎食材の良さを引き出していて、見せ方も上手。接客の人たちのお酒の知識も豊富で、ソムリエみたいにアドバイスをくれて、本当に楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。 お風呂はどれも源泉かけ流しで、いろいろあるから新滝さんだけでも連泊して、ゆっくりしたかったてすね。次回は連泊させて頂きます。

口コミが良い旅館だったので楽しみにしていたのですが、なぜ高評価なのかが分かりません。チェックイン時の説明では修学旅行の団体宿泊が有る為、お夕食の時間は１８時からと決められているし、手荷物は各自でお部屋まで運び温泉利用時間にも制限が有りました。 ゆっくり食べたいと申し出ていたお食事も前菜が未だ残っているのに配膳時間に配慮する事無く次々と運ばれて途中で食べる気がしなくなりました。 創作料理との事でしたが美味しいとは思いませんでした。 カーテンで仕切られたお食事会場は接客の声も筒抜け「枝豆とコーンの炊き込みご飯か白米が選べます」と彼方此方から聞こえてきて、接客の方が忘れてメモ紙を見ようとしたのを「枝豆とコーンの炊き込みご飯か白米が選べるのでしょ？」と教えてあげられる程でした。 本当に高評価の口コミと同じ旅館なの？と思ってしまいました。
