Hôtel Bellegarde by Viktor

This is the worst experience we have ever had at a hotel on any of our world travels. We were given a room that was directly off the small room reception area that was literally the other side of the wall of this area so that one would not imagine a room could even be hidden behind the anonymous looking wall. The room was at ground level, with traffic not more than five feet away and gas and diesel fumes coming through the room; there was also a big pile of open garbage on the other side of the street presumably waiting for pick up. While we did not need an ADA room I would think that this room was a dangerous choice as there was a ramp without rails from the open bathroom to the main bedroom section, with out hand rails, so one could have easily slid down into a wall! Also, the owner promised we could be refunded for the second night of the reservation as we did not want to spend a second night at this hotel but he has since refused to comply with his promise. Very dishonest.
