Fairmont Mara Safari Club
"Pros: location is excellent, very nice amenities, food is very good, and game drives with Moseka were also good (despite not finding a male lion). I was injured during this trip and the nurse Betty took great care while redressing my wounds. All staff were very polite. The property itself is beautiful. Wake up service and morning coffee delivery was a very nice personal touch. View of mara river and hippos grunting away will never be forgotten. Cons: disorganised staff - they didn't know we were on our honeymoon trip despite telling them in advance. Phone did not work in the room and our room was in the far wing of the property. There were a lot of staff at the property who mentioned that they are assigned to us specifically but then we had to rely on the other staff. During checkout, they couldn't figure out we had prepaid in advance. They booked hot air balloon for us on the day of checkout only to then later rush us to pack in hurry when they could have simply told us to keep our luggage ready a day in advance."
Royal Mara Safari Lodge
"Royal Mara was exquisite! The rooms were fabulous, spacious, modern, and very well done. Having wifi in the rooms was also a major plus. The outdoor settings were attentive to the environment and being on the Mara River was breathtaking to say the least. The food was always cooked and served well. Tony and Frances and the entire staff were exceptional!!! This was by far the most luxurious stay and I want to go back again and again. The memories made here were momentous and it was such welcoming place to experience the best of the Maasai Mara. I cannot say enough good things about this place and it will forever bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart for the time spent here. Thank you Tony and Frances for one of the best experiences and for everything you did to make our stay so memorable! Your help when we were departing was also above and beyond and Wade and I can't thank you enough!!!"
Neptune Mara Rianta Luxury Camp - All Inclusive.
"We stayed at Neptune Mara Rianta Luxury Camp for four nights, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The camp is beautifully set along the Mara River, where we could watch hippos and other wildlife. We even spotted two lions right from the pool area. What truly makes this camp special, though, is the people. Every single staff member was incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our stay perfect. Their constant smiles and kindness made us feel like family. We loved spending time together at the fire pit and even teaching them how to throw an American football—such fun, memorable moments. A special shout-out to Peter and Salomon, who were exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay. The food was delicious, the sundowners were phenomenal, and our lodge was absolutely gorgeous. We also really enjoyed the guided walk across the river up to the rock and the relaxing massages—both were wonderful additions to the experience. Thank you to the entire Neptune Mara Rianta team for an incredible adventure and memories we will cherish forever."

Serenity Mara Legends Camp
Karen Blixen Camp Masai Mara
"We had an amazing stay at Karen Blixen Camp. We had a very long drive in from Lake Nakuru and made it in time for lunch which was a lovely introduction to camp. Service is impeccable, we were taken care of the moment we arrived and everyone knew our names immediately. Our room was fabulous, clean and perfect views over the Mara river with our own hippo wallowing. Our room was very comfortable and we had a turn down service every evening and a security escort during the night back to and from the restaurant. Everyone was so accommodating and made an effort to show us the local wildlife around camp too. The meals were amazing, with three courses for lunch and dinner. We ate very well during our stay! Drink options were great and we enjoyed the selection offered. Our waiter was lovely and made us feel very welcome, we enjoyed our meals immensely. We also did a few game drives and our diver/guide was incredible (Kisemei) and we saw so many Cheetah and Lions up close. We also had sundowners and breakfast on our drives, out in the open grassland with incredible the most views. The whole thing was honestly amazing. Karen Blixen camp was above and beyond a wonderful stay and we can't wait to come back again in the not so distant future."
Elephant Pepper Camp
"From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. Safari experience was amazing. Manager Moses was extremely gracious. All the staff were so professional and very friendly. All made us feel like family. Amazing accommodations. Cannot say enough about chef Johnmark. His cuisine left one yearning for more. Presentation, flavors and quality were outstanding. He deserves many accolades. Our guide and all the staff were wonderful!! Great stay, magical . Just beautiful."
Kandili Camps
"Underwhelming experience overall, especially at $600+/N; I would not come back. - Note it's a small conservancy, so your game drives there would be fairly limited; if I go back to a conservancy, I'd pick a larger one (but may just focus on the reserve, which has a higher density of wildlife, although some limitations as you can't drive offroad or do a walk) - I liked the overall set up/location: very remote! - Tents look good, but some serious issues to fix: toilet flush wouldn't stop at night; the tarpaulin sheet between the shower and the room is NOT connected to the floor so water got into the room (and personal belongings got wet...); no commercial gesture was offered to compensate us for the inconvenience, which was disappointing - Good food "
