The Island Concept is one of the most beautiful boutique resorts I’ve ever visited. The views are absolutely phenomenal, and enjoying breakfast while overlooking the scenery was a highlight of our stay. The nearby city is charming and just a short taxi ride away. We truly wished we could have stayed longer. A few suggestions for improvement: some light background music around the pool and restaurant area would help avoid the awkward quiet during meals and create a more relaxing ambiance. The in-room toiletries could be of higher quality to better match the resort’s luxurious feel. Our bungalow featured a large sink that extended beyond the countertop, which was an odd design choice. Additionally, the gym equipment appeared old and rusted, having been left uncovered outdoors—something that could use attention given the overall standard of the resort. Overall, The Island Concept is a stunning property with breathtaking views and great potential to be even more exceptional with a few small upgrades.

Luxury from start to finish. A late arrival and we were welcomed as long lost friends. Breakfast is a treat, a la carte with many inclusive choices. Nothing is too much trouble for the super staff. Mariana has a smile for every situation and Fortini especially served us with knowledge of wines and helped whenever we needed assistance. The pool and private beach are both special. Private and quiet with comfortable sun beds. The spa service was great and there is a wide range of treatments for both him and her. An all round brilliant experience of total relaxation and luxury.

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff - very calm and quiet atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for them. The only one tiny annoyance was there were often kids running around and jumping in the pool making noise etc. - we believe this used to be adults only as we’re sure it was when we booked? - it’s a shame as somewhere so small and with such aspirations of honeymoon destination really should be adults only in order to get the complete tranquil experience.

Beautiful location. Great staff. Lovely boutique hotel that makes you feel welcome. Always room around the pool, always space for dinner if you choose to eat in. Rooms are superb, very spacious. Only a short 10 euro taxi ride into Ag Nic. Been here 3 times now, has become our go to place in Crete

It would be difficult to fault this wonderful small, quiet, exclusive 5 star property. Beautifully created with wonderful views, fantastic suites, and truly fabulous service. Often service lets down a beautiful property like this, but not here. From booking to arrival and departure all was seamless. Nikolaos who handled the reservation was flawless, Christos who welcomed us was attentive to any requirements, Mariana (F&B) was tremendous recommending fab local wines and sea salt infused local beer. The evening bartender (can't recall his name) was charming, mixing a great local negroni. Everyone there went above and beyond and even on our ultra early departure Nikolaos met us with breakfast in a box for the airport transfer! We will be back!

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at The Island Concept. It is a beautiful boutique resort in a gorgeous setting. Our room was very comfortable, with a private pool and seafront view. Breakfast was great, with multiple choices. We ate dinner at the restaurant both nights, and the food was delicious, with a variety of dishes. The outdoor setting for meals was lovely, and they have a nice outdoor bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was very relaxing and felt very secluded from the rest of the Crete beach scene.
