We have just returned from a 1 week stay for our honeymoon. We was abit concerned after reading some of the recent bad reviews, but honestly we could not fault a single thing. On arrival, we was greeted by lovely staff and we surprisingly got an upgrade on our room which was a lovely surprise. A gentleman then kindly showed us to our room with our bags and gave us a room tour. Room was fantastic, clean and very comfortable with everything you could need. Mini bar is fully stocked, kettle and also nespresso coffee machine. We had a cake waiting for us also for our honey moon and some balloons. We also celebrated my birthday whilst there and received another cake. Food and drink was incredible, staff pre book your restaurants before you come so you don’t need to worry about booking something up. Due to a medical condition I cannot eat fish, and i was booked into the fish restaurant, however they changed my booking with no problem at all to a different restaurant,and the chef personally came out to speak to me about the menu and said that he can prepare me something off the menu and in a separate area, so for anyone travelling with allergies you are in good hands. Quality of food and drinks are very good, also if there’s a cocktail that you want which is not on the menu, they will happily make it for you. Staff work very hard and are all welcoming & friendly, one member of bar staff particularly stood out to us and her name was Bruna. One evening she was on her own for a while and the way she ran the bar/made the drinks and still interacted with customers was incredible. She is a very skilled member of staff! Location wise there isn’t much around, couple of shops and tavernas but you could catch the bus to Benitses which was worth it and also to Corfu town centre which is worth a visit. The buses on the timetable in bold pick up and drop off at reception which is convenient. Took around 40 minutes from Corfu airport for the transfer. Only thing that could be better for us was entertainment on an evening. There wasn’t much on offer. Overall we had a fantastic time and cannot wait to return to Marbella with family. This is our fourth consecutive time visiting this beautiful hotel. (It’s my therapy from a hectic start back to work in September!) The hotel is beautiful, clean, welcoming everything you’d expect from a five star hotel. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, it’s the staff that make this hotel. The staff work so hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible, your met with a welcoming greeting at the front desk. (Reception staff are all very helpful and polite not forgetting the porters) there are so many hard working staff and although I didn’t get everyone’s name I do remember the name of Fotis, who works the pool bar and has been here on our every visit. This man has the most welcoming of smiles and is not afraid of the odd wasp sting!! Costalina who used to work in the Italian restaurant, (I’m hoping I got your name right), now works in the new restaurant that was opened 2 years ago when the Greek and Italian restaurant were merged and is now called….Kuzina. Christina in deck and bar grill, you made our night when asking my husband how many followers did he have as you thought he was blogging, when in fact he was just playing with his new camera The maid who cleaned our room every day, room 509, said hello every morning, worked so quick and efficiently, taking a pride in what she did…..thank you. We look forward to returning next October but may try out the new hotel Avali.
