My wife, 6yo daughter and I stayed for a week over New Year. The hotel itself is high-end. Lovely pool, immaculate, well maintained and appointed. People mention the quality of the breakfast, which is excellent. Fresh and lots of choice. Rooms are a good size and the hotel's location is perfect for eating out (some of the all inc. hotels further up the coast are a good 30/35 min walk to restaurants). The only thing that stops this really being a 5* is the service, particularly at the front desk / over the phone. We're not fussy or demanding, but we noticed that multiple times over the week we would be made to wait for hours. For instance, on the first day bedding for our daughter was forgotten. We called, but it was some 6/7 hours later it was finally brought after 3 chase-ups. Same with needing more hangers, another day only 1 towel for a room of 3. Dinner reservation made in person at reception forgotten (luckily we checked on the day at the actual restaurant and they said always go to them directly). Individually they were all minor things, but collectively it was frustrating and it was noticed by a few guests we spoke to. Pool service for food/drink is slow. Had to ask for a menu 3 times, an 1 hour wait for a bottle of wine, for instance. Having said this, the staff are very friendly and on the whole you get a sense they are trying. But right now the service doesn't reflect the price, which is among the highest in Agadir. We ate at the Italian once. It was nice, but not worth the cost. Try the Thai Jade round the corner. Still had a lovely time and I would recommend The View - but just don't expect 5* service.
