Riu Palace Tikida Agadir - All Inclusive

Very good service

We checked in on the 21st July 2025 for two weeks. I have stayed in many RIU hotels over the years and had amazing experiences. I have experienced some of the kindest of staff, clean palatial rooms, immaculate gardens and excellent food (lots of variety). Unfortunately I cannot say that I had the same experience with this hotel. Arriving at the hotel we had a swift check in and was shown to our room, our bags followed soon after. The hotel looked amazing and our room was as i had requested and very clean. The first morning we went for breakfast and that was a lovely nice atmosphere with a variety of food. we went down to the pool area for the day and the pool guys and entertainers were very nice and helpful. With a special thank you to the staff at he pool side bar as they worked very hard to deal with the demand ( it seemed a little short staffed). We went to lunch at the poolside restaurant, my husband came back with two burgers, he cut into them and they were raw and cold inside, my husband immediately took them back and spoke with a Chef who was walking around. He instructed my husband to return to our table and one of the waiters would come and remove them from our table. This concerned me as children could of eaten them or the vulnerable and they could of become ill. On the following evening we went out and sat in the Sports Bar at 10pm the restaurant staff bring in food for people to snack on. My Husband decided he would try a burger as he believed because he had bought it to the chef's attention the same error would not occur, unfortunately that was not the case, the burger was not cooked in the middle. My husband and I did not have another burger for the whole of our stay! The food in the restaurants was the same most days, no theme days just luke warm food. I missed some meals as I could not face eating the same food everyday. Half way through our holiday we decided that we would go to the local market so we wanted to exchanged some cash that we had brought with us. We had three hundred pound in English money. We had been out at the lobby bar on the evening and wanted to put our jewellery away when we got back to our room My husband tried to open the safe and we received an error code, thinking he may of put the code in incorrectly he tried again, but again it came up with an error. We felt this was very strange and left it for the morning but called reception, they informed us that they would need to contact and outside company to open the safe and they would arrive at 10:30am. We went for a coffee and I returned to the room to wait for the engineer. Reception called at 10:50 to say the engineer had arrived and would be escorted to the room. The engineer arrived with someone from security, he was in the room for approximately 10 minutes with myself and the security man. He opened the safe and asked me to reset my password and lock the safe and reopen it, I did this but my password could be seen by the security man and the enginee

We visited here September 2024 and were blown away by the hotel and Morocco. We went back September 2025 and were excited at the news of the renovation etc - we were sorely disappointed. The lobby is brighter and nice addition of a coffee bar and sports bar but besides new cushions on the sun beds (that were extremely comfy I must say) we couldn’t see much improvement. The crockery and some of the cutlery were dirty and we had bad stomachs practically every day. The shower didn’t work and bathroom flooded if longer than a few mins it’s in the shower. Sink didn’t drain properly. The rooms had not been refreshed in the Reno and very dated. The food wasn’t the best although the Morrocan restaurant was amazing - well done! We stay at RIU’s in the carribbean and felt this wasn’t up to the usual standard but yes we were in a different country but this hotel needs to do better. On the plus, this bears no reflection on the staff, they are extremely helpful and polite and are always smiling. Particular shout out to Hamza (lifeguard) who worked tirelessly to help people and was always so professional and polite. He is a credit to your hotel and company.
