Hyatt House Dallas Addison

Nice hotel.

The hotel is like a very low rated apartment complex or a cheap motel. All room doors are facing directly outside. 3 stories, no elevators. Full kitchen, but everything is broken, and items are missing. Hyatt House is a good brand when it works. This one doesn't.

Basically a renovated apartment so it had some of the challenges inherent to an apartment like center walls and no elevators for the higher levels. Other than that, however, it was a great value and a very pleasant stay.

I lost/left my headphones at this hotel and promptly called them because I could see the GPS on my headphones was showing them at the hotel. The receptionist said she would check with housekeeping and call me back. This happened 4 times and *I* had to call back every day, as I was never actually followed up with. On the fourth day I was informed that my $150 head phones were not there and had not been found. However in my GPS location they had been disconnected from my app. Last known location before being disconnected was the hotel. The physical hotel interior was abysmal compared to just two years ago. I will never stay at this location again. The carpet had tears and chunks missing, huge stains and was sticky. The chair was missing CHUNKS out of the armrest and was covered with electrical tape. This is not hyatt standard

Unfortunately we did not have a pleasant experience. We didn't have any kitchen towels/dish cloths, each piece of cutlery only had 3 pieces (like 3 forks/spoons, etc.), which meant we had to do dishes frequently (see issue with no dish cloth). No problem running the dishwasher more frequently, except housekeeping wouldn't leave more detergent. No soap in the bathroom sink. The kitchen sink made very odd noises any time the AC turned on. The saving grace is the location was perfect for our needs.

We selected this location due to availability and price…sight unseen. Our unit (room711) was comfortable but definitely requires the owner’s investment in a total cosmetic renovation.
