Tv was not working but was after I got staffin to fix the problem

The guy at check in was very nice. The room needs a lot of updating. The window blinds were broke, candy paper by the microwave, shower could use a good cleaning in the corners. There is a hole in the entrance door big enough for a snake to fit through. TV didn't work, and no Wi Fi. The picture of the room on their website is not what our room looked like. Would not stay there again.

Too many people complain about low low budget motels that don't provide the amenities of high price motel. You people have no contact with reality. The Amish Country is a very touristy area and motels tend to be very expensive and B&Bs are exorbitant. Count your blessings that a motel that charges only $85/night in this area is even available; anyway, how much time would you be spending in the room? True, there are absolutely no frills, not even ice or a coffee machine, but it's clean and quiet, the AC works, the shower water is hot, and they are very conveniently located. Don't be turned off by the long-term residents, they are nice people who are just down on their luck or their health. However, I do have one caveat. In some of the rooms, the cable box is chained to the wall face down, so that the only way to use your controller is to hold it directly under the box on the wall. (#11 is such an example.) That is a deal-breaker! Tell them that you insist upon a room in which you can use the remote control from your bed or a chair. I would definitely stay here again, but I would insist upon a room where I can use the remote control properly.
