Overall, it was a good experience. The reception staff was a bit rude. Room service was not satisfactory. It was overpriced. The AC was not working, and there was no ventilation.

The hotel is old and smelled a bit but the room was spacious. The swimming pool water and the hot tub was dirty.

Great hotel and great location. Booked a large Suite but was only given a superior room. Only noticed when was rebooting another date!!

On arrival at the hotel, having spoken to the person in front of me i was faced by a lady who obviously thought I was interrupting her personal time. Spoke so auietly I couldn’t hear her properly she asked several questions multiple times as if she couldn’t be bothered to listen to the answer. Gave me my room key and when I queried the room number as I couldn’t read it without my glasses on, she took several repeats of the question before I got the answer . Room when I found the lifts was lovely, great view of Cardiff. Spent a lovely comfortable night . I decided on check out to comment to the person on duty about the lack of welcome the night before but the reception desk was unmanned and despite waiting the person in the office made no attempt to see what I wanted, hence this review! Lack of welcome spoiled what would have been a lovely stay in a hotel that lists itself as luxury!
