They should have spent less on store and more on campground. Absolutely no privacy anywhere in campground. More room in a Walmart parking lot and sites set up so neighbors are sitting with you.

We had a 5 day reservation at the campground in September. Our motorhome sustained roof damage from high winds two days ago and has to be replaced. Despite explaining the situation to Josh the manager via text, he would not issue a refund and is keeping our money stating we agreed to the cancellation agreement. We asked if we could change the date but Josh said that would be cancelling and rebooking. Again, no refund. We’ve staying at over 100 campgrounds and NEVER have seen a cancellation policy like this place. I questioned the reservationist when booking and should never have made the reservation.

I found KWR while looking for hotels in Houghton for a short stay. We spent $100 LESS staying here than at the Hampton and one other hotel I looked at for the three total nights and had probably four times the amount of space, waterfront views, full kitchen, huge bathroom, access to a swimming beach, bounce pad, park, and washer and dryer! In response to other reviews, we did not hear anyone through the walls (and the resort appeared full) though could occasionally hear some footsteps upstairs. Did not affect us in anyway. I always sleep with a white noise app playing on my phone so we had no trouble sleeping. Unit was spotless. Parking right outside the door. Had a little convenience-type general store on the property. I forgot to mention the in-unit sauna, too! Would absolutely stay here again. Cannot recommend it enough!

The absolute best resort in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Our large extended family of 14 didn't want to leave this beautiful home and we had everything we needed for our comfortable 3 night stay.

Spacious option with extra amenities
The cabin was spacious and clean. Kitchen was stocked with the basics, including coffee filters. Extra touches included a first aid kit, bedroom lamp with plug, usb, and charging cables was nice. Communication was great, check and and out was smooth.
