Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ada

Had to leave 1 day early. No refund! We had to leave 1 day early and was unable to get a refund for Monday night. There has to be an easier way to resolve this type of situation.

We stated at the Holiday Inn in Ada while in town due to a death in the family. This was our second stay here and hadn't had any issues previously. The hotel is clean and updated. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. BUT we were there from Saturday to Thursday and our room was only cleaned once. We had to go get towels on the 3rd night and complained to the front desk. Our key cards also stopped working on the 3rd night. Then, the next night, as if being retaliated against by housekeeping, we came back from my brother in law's funeral to our towels being gone and not replaced and a still dirty room. When we spoke to the front desk, the manager, Martie, overheard and came out to speak to us. She said to give her a few minutes, then came back and told us that our stay was on them and that she would add extra points to my reward account due to all the issues. I told her that it wasn't necessary, but she insisted. She said that they had a new computer sytem, so to be patient. I thanked her over and over again. The next day we checked out. That was on June 11th. I received no reimbursement or refund. On June 18th, I emailed Martie to let her know that if she had attempted a refund, it didnt go through. Her response was, "Good morning, I apologize ma'am, I am still working on it, with the way we had to split the reservations that day. I have to make sure I do it correctly. Thank you for reaching out. I hope things are going better for you. Thanks so much" I still have not received a refund or added points (beyond what I earned for the stay.) I believe Martie wanted to get me to stop complaining, so she lied to me about what she would do. I wouldn't have minded an apology and some clean towels, but if you give me your word, then follow through. We now know the integrity of the staff here, so we will stay somewhere else when we are in Ada next time.

The room was very clean and the linens were nice and fresh. Pillows and bed was comfortable.

Nice stay. Third floor hallway a/c seemed to be struggling. Ice maker on third floor needs to be repaired. Great breakfast.

Our room was fine but this hotel seems to be falling apart. The hallways, lobby and elevator were dirty and unkept. It did not seem to be well ran. There was one worker who was super accommodating and allowed for late check out but it seems like the general manager is a pain and her staff aren't very fond of her/talk poorly of her to customers. She forced her staff to charge one of my family members $50 for makeup on a towel. Ridiculous Breakfast was good. We will likely find somewhere else to stay next time we are in town.

Room ac wasnt very good. The privacy curtain on window was torn. Staff were nice.
