El Marques Palace by Intercorp Group

Nice resort, apartment was spacious and could see some of sea from balcony. , reception staff very helpful, near bus stop and Aldi,s and short walk into las Giantess. Liked swimming pool although across the road. Would have liked more entertainment, did support entertainment on two nights when it was on and also the paella lunch.

Pleasantly surprised my main floor unit still had a view with a balcony. No real AC on the top floor but didn't really need it when opening up all shutters/windows. May be a tough sleep if using the pullout on that floor - would maybe need a fan. They need new shower curtains as the material sort of sticks to you in the small shower space. Considering that's the only real issue I was very pleased. Hotel staff was friendly and I arrived late due to a delayed flight so I was happy to see security immediately let me in and check me in giving me a key and telling me where my place was. Restaurant staff aren't as quick as North America hospitality but anyone travelling in Spain should be used to a less urgent/more relaxed system. Would be hard to sleep in that bed for longer than 7 nights. Again not a major fault considering how nice the area is.

Everything was fine, nice location with all the facilities like Groceries, Bus service, tour operators...all at walking distance.

We stayed 4 nights at this property in Tenerife, and unfortunately, our experience was ruined by a theft from our apartment. While we were out, cash and a bank card were stolen, even though there were no signs of forced entry. Strangely, the theft happened right after the cleaning service had entered the room. When we reported the incident to reception, the staff responded casually, telling us the manager wasn’t available and that we should go to the police. The nearest station was closed, so we had to travel across town to another one. There, we waited for over two hours for a translator, all while trying to make it to our scheduled flight. Back at the hotel, we insisted on speaking to the manager, but we were told he was away participating in a surfing competition and would only return on Monday, after our departure. The staff showed no empathy or responsibility. It felt as though they treated the situation as something ordinary, even suggesting that thefts “can happen to anyone,” as if we were staying on the street. ❗️We strongly advise against staying at this hotel – the lack of security, professionalism, and basic customer support in serious situations is unacceptable.

Positives first - apartments are clean. Close to multiple supermarkets. 1 nice swimming pool. Not far from really good restaurants and cafes. The rest - noisy as a heard of rampaging elephants. We are / were put beside the air duct outlet for the boiler used to keep the swimming pool heated. It’s very loud and is on throughout the night. Mentioned it to reception 3 times but no attempt to even pretend to care. It’s an issue if you are sensitive to low level noise. Very close to bars and restaurants that have resident average or lower “singers” playing nightly. You can hear them clearly even with doors shut. Accommodation as I mentioned before is clean but outdated. All equipment works though so you may just have to get over yourself if you’re used to finer things. The resorts website makes it look like they have a gym and tennis courts - they don’t. Their fancier competitor owns them - nothing to do with The Palace. Draw your own conclusions on why they do that. Location wise - lots of hills and tiny beaches with little by way of sand. The Arena beach is grand but small. You are at least 10 minutes downhill walk from the complex to the little harbour beach. If you know what to expect, this place is ok. I feel we got hoodwinked a bit though - our expectations were higher.

The property is dated and could do with a re vamp due to broken tiles, old baths and dated furniture. You get the room cleaned, new towels and bedding every 2 days
