"The hotel is quite new, and the facilities are well-maintained. There's a beautiful lake nearby. It's the closest hotel to the temple, a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is average. Housekeeping knocks very early, so be sure to put your phone on Do Not Disturb beforehand. I was knocked on three times in half an hour, twice while I was showering. She probably wanted to remind me to leave early. Many people visiting Matrouh also go to Siva, but be aware that while Siva is known for its friendly and honest people, there are also scams. I booked a hotel in Soléi Old Town in Siva town center through ***********, but upon check-in, I was taken to a guesthouse-like place far from the hotel without any signage. The environment was terrible; it felt like being sold out. I felt completely unsafe, and the owner was incredibly unscrupulous, knowing Booking.com's policy of non-refundable bookings and refusing to admit it. This wasted a lot of time and disrupted my itinerary. Please be careful when traveling; try to choose reputable platforms with refund policies and larger hotels to avoid affecting your travel experience."

"Seriously, you *have* to choose this hotel! The service was incredibly attentive. As soon as we got out of the car, they helped us with our luggage. My friend wasn't feeling well and had an upset stomach (likely from the change in environment), and they were so thoughtful, giving us two boxes of Egyptian medicine and preparing hot water with sugar and salt to help rehydrate my friend. The hotel environment is lovely, and the rooms are spotless; even the bedding was clean. They even offer disposable bedsheets for an extra charge. The owner's son patiently sent us recommendations and addresses for good local restaurants. The hotel is very close to the temple, and there's an ATM nearby. We had to leave for the Abu Simbel Temple at 6 AM, and the owner woke up at 5 AM to personally cook us a delicious breakfast, all while performing beautiful Nubian music for us. If you're planning to stay in Abu Simbel for a night, this place is truly worth it. When we left, the owner even gave us a one-pound Egyptian banknote with the Abu Simbel Temple on it as a souvenir. The people of Abu Simbel are all so warm, kind, and simple-hearted. If I ever have the chance, I would definitely choose to stay here again. We left in such a hurry that I forgot to leave a tip to show my appreciation, but I will do my absolute best to recommend this hotel to everyone!"

"Located in Abu Simbel, the hotel is easily accessible by car, with parking available in front. The owner mentioned two security cameras monitoring the area, but when we left the next day, we discovered the car was almost completely emptied of gasoline… This was the only theft incident during our entire Egypt trip… The hotel was a bit old, but the staff were very friendly. Their English wasn't great, but you could use a translation app to communicate in Arabic. The rooms were small but clean, and the breakfast was simple. Aside from the gasoline theft, the overall experience was quite good. It's worth considering if you're staying overnight in Abu Simbel, although the price was outrageous, close to 500 RMB, perhaps due to the Sun Festival…"
