New Abusimble Hotel ★★

📍 Next to Sound and Light Office, New Road, Abu Simbel

"I stayed here to see the Abu Simbel Temple. The room was clean. They arranged everything from a tuk-tuk to the Abu Simbel Temple to a bus back to Aswan. You can also buy tickets for the Abu Simbel Temple Sound and Light Show here. For dinner, I had beef tadine. It was delicious. One of the staff members is a big fan of Japanese anime. ^-^ They were very helpful and willing to help me with any problems I had. All the staff were wonderful. The bus stop for Aswan is right across from the hotel."

📍 Abu Simbel, Abu Simbel

"New hotel. A lot of good intention and very welcoming and friendly staff. The rooms are all new, quiet and with a beautiful vue. Still there is room for improvement in some of the services including internet connection which did not work in our room."

Sharty Hotel ★★

📍 Ramesses, Abu Simbel

"I highly recommend this guesthouse! It's very close to the temples, within walking distance. The owner is a native Nubian, incredibly kind and simple. Upon arrival, they welcomed us with fruit and juice, and when we left, they gave us two bottles of water and drinks for our journey. There are free drinks and beverages in the refrigerator, and a kitchen where you can cook. The breakfast is very plentiful, and they even play and sing Nubian folk songs – so much fun! I also recommend the sunrise or sunset boat tour to see the Abu Simbel temples, offering different perspectives. The owner's prices are cheaper than other online listings."

📍 Qesm El Wahat El Kharga, Abu Simbel

"A great choice for an overnight stay in Abu Simbel. The rooms and the entire resort are very spacious, and the hotel restaurant is reasonably priced. However, booking the sunrise boat trip through the front desk is quite expensive."

"Quite a quiet hotel. But the people in Aswan are especially nice."

Seti Abu Simbel Lake Resort ★★★★

📍 Aswan Governorate, Abu Simbel

"We have stayed at resorts and hotels all over Egypt (we live in Kuwait). This is my favorite place to stay! The staff are amazing. Said Farouk, the F and B Manager, was incredible! I totally enjoyed his professional service. Also, Mohamed in reception is very welcoming. He knows more about American actors and movies than I do! Our room was perfect. Our Driver was excellent. We couldn’t be more pleased. BTW, the buffet was BY FAR the best we’ve had anywhere in Egypt."

New Abusimble Hotel ★★
"The owner is kind and lovely. They provide all the necessary cups and plates you ask for. You can buy light and sound show tickets through the hotel. It's the newest hotel in the area. The rooms are clean but quite small. The bathroom doesn't have much space for toiletries, and the shower only has a rain showerhead, so it's not very convenient to shower. Breakfast consists of omelets, bread, and yogurt."

Retac Abu Simbel Nefertari Hotel ★★★★
"Facilities: Great, the room was very spacious. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: The hotel is located right inside the Abu Simbel complex, making it the closest option. Service: It was okay. They only provided two small bottles of water, and then charged several dollars for more, which was too expensive."

Sharty Hotel ★★
"A very comfortable and convenient hotel, and the host was incredibly welcoming! The host comes from a musical family and even played instruments for us. The room was clean, refreshing, and smelled wonderful. The breakfast was very plentiful. The host, an elderly gentleman, and his son even helped us book tickets for the light show and kept track of our bus schedule back to Aswan. They were very patient and answered all our questions. The hotel's rooftop offers sunset views, and it's a 20-minute walk to the temple entrance and a 13-minute walk to the bus station – very convenient."

"The environment is absolutely gorgeous, with a huge private garden that connects to the lake. It's a detached house with golf cart service. The service is top-notch. The food at Half Board is decent; I'm not picky. Cleanliness is good, and it's great value for money."

Hllol Abu Simbel Hotel ★★★
"Alas. The property is definitely in disrepair. Very few guests, and rooms smell bad and have peeling walls. The staff makes do as best they can, but I wouldn't recommend staying here, even though it's quite close to the temples. Breakfast and dinner were awful (chicken was either half raw or burned). The room price was insane ($165 a night)."

"The staff were friendly. The amenities weren't extensive, but it was manageable if you brought your own. There was no hairdryer. Tuk-tuks frequently pass by the Abu Simbel temples, so we took them, paying each time. After riding a few times, the driver remembered our location to the hotel, which was convenient. Walking would take more than 30 minutes each way. Car taxis didn't seem to be the main mode of transport."
