We chose the Glengower as we wanted to stay on the prom and have a room facing the sea. We had a family room, one single and a double bed. Room was spacious and beautifully clean. A decent supply of tea, coffi, hot chocolate and quality biscuits. It is nice that the room has a Welsh feel such as cushions from a local company with pictures of Aberystwyth and nice woollen throws. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent with an allocated table. All in all, a great stay. We didn't have an issue with parking overnight and used the 4hrs in the morning to go shopping before visiting the fabulous National Library of Wales. Diolch.

Visited this hotel for dinner on a recommendation from our host at the guest house we were staying. The hotel itself is very nice, vibrant and very busy. We decided to attend for dinner, my partner had the Steak pie which he said was excellent. I decided to have a salad and opted for the Chicken Caesar salad, big mistake, the only nice part of the salad was the cos lettuce, the rest was an embarrassment, the chicken or if you can call it that was dreadfully dry and inconsistent in colour, size, texture. The croutons were dry and hard, and the bacon tasteless. I mentioned this to the waitress who apologised, and was going to pass on the feedback. We decided not to have dessert based on the experience.

Stayed at the Glengower a few times over the years, visited again for August Bank Holiday weekend. As always the staff were polite and friendly nothing is to much trouble for them. Room was brilliant clean and everything you needed, great view of the sea to. Breakfast was lovely really high quality ingredients recommend a stay here if your ever in Aberystwyth.

I was going to share a rave review - and that was before we'd tried their breakfasts. We love the place - and we were lucky to have the room in the photo, with a stunning second floor view of the sea, and out to both ends of South Beach too, Loved it - the smiling, helpful, friendly team - listening to waves hitting the shore - summer evenining views (on a blueish day) - comfy room and great curtains. Then a wow breakfast - frsh salad of melons, passion fruit and pineapple. Topped by perfect cooked breakfast. THANKS Glengower - we'll be back. And like this time, we'll book direct and not gift your well earned charge to *********** or ANO.
