Harry's Hotel & Restaurant

I dropped my daughter off at the university and needed a place to stay for a few days. The room was very clean. Coming from the US, I loved the fact that my room had its own private bathroom. The food at the restaurant was also good, even my daughter enjoyed it. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. I stayed in room 1.

Location: Very close to station Price: Quite expensive but expect room prices be much more expensive in Aberystwyth Room: Looks a bit old but clean with all amenities you would expect. Breakfast: Full English, vegetarian options available.

The hotel is nice. It is located at the town centre and it is close to every important location. The staff was friendly and was happy to wait for our late check in. The main issue we had was there was no lift and we had to go to the highest floor with the luggage, and the stairs were inclined in a very strange angle, which is really uncomfortable and they said they can't change the room, because the hotel was full. On the other hand, the breakfast was really good, especially the traditional English breakfast. The rooms were clean, but very small and the beds were not very comfortable. The bathroom was also small and a little bit claustrophobic. As a whole it was a good experience, but it's important to say in advance if you don't want to be on the highest floor, because it's uncomfortable.

Our planned Italian was fully booked so we hopped across the road to 'Harrys' - an extremely warm welcome greeted us and, even though the kitchen was due to close in 10 minutes we were able to order food - thank-you! After a day of travel, we needed something hot and comfy, and we got it (with a pool table too!) Would definitely recommend :)

On a first visit to Aberystwyth & wanting to stay in the Town Centre, found a dearth of reasonably priced accommodation so selected Harrys based on TA reviews. Premises are 4 adjoining Victorian/Edwardian 3 storey terraced properties, with a ground floor Restaurant/Bar, close to the main shopping area & Promenade, so well situated. There is no lift, so having some mobility issues glad to get a room on the 1st floor, though still only reached by 2 flights of stairs. Our room was billed as "deluxe", and although a decent size, was equipped with furnishings that must have been at least 30/40 years old; the wardrobe even had a broken mirror. However the bathroom had been renovated & had a decent walk-in shower. Sadly the decor could do with an upgrade, stains on the bathroom painted walls, cracks in ceiling/wall junctions(see photos) & worst of all the toilet door wouldn't close. To their credit the Hotel management, had the door repaired on our second day, after we told them about it. Also the "settee" at the foot of the bed was past its sell by date & the flat screen tv must have been at least 10 years old, with poor sound. All in all, if this was a deluxe room, heaven knows what the standard rooms were like. However the room was clean & well serviced & the bed comfortable. Only had breakfast here, no complaints, good variety available, in a nice dining area, with good service. Hotel is situated in a one way system, with restricted parking outside, but has it's own small car park at the rear. Overall, staff were friendly & helpful; provided good service & the accommodation served our needs.

My boyfriend and i stay at harry's hotel every 3 months for 3 days, i wouldnt stay anywhere else, the rooms, food, and staff are amazing, i would recomend this hotel, we love it there and the local people are so friendley, cant wait till we return back to Harry's amazing

We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, who was very informative. There was a safe off-road parking area for our motorcycles. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. It was an ideal location for the town, only a few minutes walk to everything! Good options at breakfast too, all freshly cooked and served by a very friendly lady. Would definitely recommend.

Always good here! We love coming here for date night. Good food and good prices. Owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. We love the food especially and it’s always at such a high standard and good pricing too! Would recommend to everyone

Stayed here Sunday to Tuesday and added on an extra night due to a change in business circumstances. If you want a warm friendly place with very kind and friendly staff then this is for you . Great choice on the bar and food to match . Its a ten from Len although my name is David!
