Dovey Inn

We were staying further round the coast and had walked to have Sunday lunch. Pub was grubby. Had to order via an app. Girls working on the bar were loud and the one that served us, spilt gravy on the table and didn't offer more gravy or even get a cloth to clean it up. No condiments offered. There was a young chap working there whose manner was much better. (we'd seen him interact with other customers). Food was mediocre. Wouldn't visit again.

A warm welcome, so helpful and great service extended by all staff. As a solo lady felt safe. Great location on the seafront. Rooms are great with oh so comfortable bed and choice of pillows. Food was delicious, served piping hot. Highly recommend. I will certainly be back.

The reception staff were helpful at check in but the rest of the experience was poor. Room was noisy and you could hear other room occupants all the time. The staff were unable to offer breakfast before 0800 so we missed it on both days as we had to get to the golf course. I stayed for two days and the room was not serviced during my stay meaning I exhausted the meagre supply of two tea bags in the room. The bar downstairs was very busy and without a reservation you could not eat there in the evening. There was also a long wait at the bar for a drink due to a single handed bar person. Other members of our party were staying at other places locally and they all reported a better service meaning this hotel would be bottom of my list for future trips.

Had a meal in the bar and loved it! The ultimate veggie burger really is the ultimate veggie burger! Laura served us and is a great person! We enjoyed the meal and would definitely come back! The environment is nice and the food is reasonably priced.

great location, had a lovely view of the estuary and the food was great! they even had QR codes to order from and they bring it straight to you, plus drinks were 10% off when you order from your table which was a win win! friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, will definitely be coming again

The roast beef bore no resemblance to the picture on the menu it was over cooked not medium rare and tasted awful. My roast had been requested with no mash it still came with this. In addition gravy shown in a neat little gravy boat nice touch well guess what - no boat & meal lswimming in the brown stuff. By far the worst meal out ever and service on app meant not one server asked if everything was ok with the meal. Won’t be back.
