Room 7 was uncomfortable. No opening window for air - air conditioning unit drips when running and soaks the carpet which was causing the room to smell of stagnant water - particularly bad in clothes storage closet. I reported it to staff who said someone would look at it. No one came. Bathroom fittings - bath and shower leak! Shower head needed cleaning and shower door seal was WiFi stops working on top floor Advertised as free WiFi available on hotel website but WiFi didnt work on our floor

A warm welcome, so helpful and great service extended by all staff. As a solo lady felt safe. Great location on the seafront. Rooms are great with oh so comfortable bed and choice of pillows. Food was delicious, served piping hot. Highly recommend. I will certainly be back.

We have been a few times over the weeks and always found the staff friendly and helpful. The food as always tasty and well presented.

We went in this week after a long drive looking for a nice pub lunch before a stroll up the beach. Sadly the Dovey Inn is really in a run down state. The beer and food were awful. The only positive was the young lady basically spinning plates to keep the pub afloat. Could be great, but it’s got a long way to go. Marstons should think about closing it for winter. Breathing some life into it.

Great location, however, the tables were very sticky and dirty, the toilets were very worn with holes in the walls. There was no soap in the bathrooms. Food not bad but didn't get many chips. It was my daughters 18th while we were there and we didn't think to take ID so the girl would not allow her her first drink even though we as her parents insisted she was old enough, this put a dampener on our celebrations.

What a great place, ideally located right in the middle of town, well decorated rooms with modern facilities. Comfortable beds with fresh clean bed linen. Topped off with a fantastic manager and well trained staff who go out their way to accommodate you. I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

Great staff, marston’s penny pinching.
The staff were excepted I couldn’t fault the manager for how hard we worked to solve the problem with the super loud aircon unit. However, this is a Marston’s owned chain so everything about it is cheap except the price. Cold shower, stuffy room, tired fittings. But….comfy bed and super location. So it’s not all doom and gloom.

We were staying further round the coast and had walked to have Sunday lunch. Pub was grubby. Had to order via an app. Girls working on the bar were loud and the one that served us, spilt gravy on the table and didn't offer more gravy or even get a cloth to clean it up. No condiments offered. There was a young chap working there whose manner was much better. (we'd seen him interact with other customers). Food was mediocre. Wouldn't visit again.
