Dovey Inn

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served quickly and tasted good - servings were generous and the pot of tea between two of us was adequate - and then we were offered more, which was great. Shower was powerful and the room comfortable with a lovely view.

Great location at the dovey inn. friendly staff. great room very clean and tidy. could do with better supply of tea and coffee and lacking in t/v chans. Will be back again very soon. Thanks for a great stay. You know what!!! we will be back again soon.

The room was clean and recently updated but let down by lack of attention to detail. WC had a dirty stain in the pan, the staff attempted to remove it without success. Toilet paper so narrow and thin that it required a number of sheets to be of any use. Shower good but wash basin tap pressure needs reducing as on first use you are in for a soaking. Spacious room but needs another arm chair and small table for comfort. One of the bath towels on the bed was dirty before use. SAM in reception was an example of how good customer service can be and went out of her way to make our stay as good as it could be. Unfortunately when we returned to our room after our first night the room had not been valeted so we could not make a drink. SAM rectified the situation and said we should have put out a clean the room notice. There was no notice in our room! Apparently it is Marstons decision not to service the rooms unless asked to do so which I believe is not acceptable. The rest of the hotel is in need of a deep clean and ideally restoration as our bedroom has had. The dining area where we breakfasted was a perfect example of this. Tables with worn varnish and seating looking dirty. Breakfast was good. SAM did her best but desperately needs backup from Marstons head office. Mr R P Streather.

Stayed here many a time . Location is perfect and views from the bedroom windows are amazing . Staff are great and friendly .Rooms are nice and clean with tea and coffee Only one negative point is the exterior of the property which needs a lick of paint .

Good location in Aberdyfi, right by the sea. Aberdyfi was very busy with visitors. Hotel rooms were good - no issues to report. Food was OK but not brilliant and as it was so busy in Aberdyfi it was not possible to eat elsewhere as every eating place was fully booked. The staff were very friendly and did their best to provide a good service.

First time in Abedovey, as part of a weekend of cycling. The Dovey Inn was great in every way - they were very happy to let us store our bikes in our room, which was spacious enough for the bikes not to get in the way. The room was great. We ate in the bar that evening - good food and a good atmosphere - and had a good quality breakfast before our early departure the next day. The manager and staff were all friendly and helpful.

I would give a 5* review but a few things let this place down. I would stay again as it was lovely and clean and food and staff was lovely. But the place is well due for a freshen up. Room 3 had marks all over walls, broken sink, rust on wall running from the hand bar in bathroom. Almost empty bottle if hand soap. Paint on the glass on the windows, all just looking a little tired and in need of some TLC . At £125 for 1 night I would expect all this to be sorted. Also breakfast I would have thought would have been included even if it was just a basic toast and cereal and a cuppa. The beds were really comfy and had the added bonus of a/c in both the bedrooms and considering the room was right above the bar it was extremely quiet. Perfect sea view and it was really nice for a family room to have seperate bedrooms.

Brilliant couldn’t fault it room was clean staff were friendly. We was only booked for one night but kids wanted to stay for another night because they was enjoying it you get a big thumbs up from them to apart from the youngest who wanted to know why you don’t have a PlayStation . we will definitely be back soon x
