On checking in we were shown to our room. The room was ample in size. The bed was very comfortable enabling a good nights sleep. The en-suite had been refurbished with a shower. A problem with water pressure was promptly attended to. As we were eating as a group of fourteen, we had pre ordered, and our meals were served speedily all together. Our choices of food were hot and well presented. There was a good choice on the breakfast menu again served without delay. The staff were attentive nothing being too much trouble making for a relaxing stay.

We had been here,many times,but a long time ago.It was good then. New owners have taken over and the place is so warm and welcoming. The staff cannot do enough for you,despite there being a wedding reception on,the afternoon we called in. No noise or rowdy issues attall ! Choice on menu and specials of the day were very impressive, vedgeterian choice was great,also the fish choice was good. When the food arrived,it was hot, plates warm and food was brilliant. Service was excellent. Could not fault in any way. We have been looking for `a place`to frequent,for a good while,and now we have found the ideal place to be. Well done to all,and thank you for a brilliant lunch and afternoon tea. See you again,very soon.

We visited this eve for a meal. The food was excellent, good quality, very nicely cooked, very well presented and plentiful. The staff are lovely and the restaurant is really lovely.

Lovely stay. Staff and owner very good. Thoughtful and helpful to any request. Food quality and value £ excellent. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms. Really enjoyed our break and hope to return in the future.

An absolute gem of a hotel, set back right off the bustling main street. There is a beer garden right outside with a wide range of drinks on tap and by the bottle (including things like AU). Ray and the team are very welcoming, room was clean, airy and spacious. Be sure to check out their event nights and make a full day of it.
