We only stayed for one night but the memory is likely to last for months. Walking up to the room the banister was sticky and carpet looked like it was from the 1940s. The dresser looked like it had been rescued from a skip (as someone else has already pointed out). The short bed (6" shorter than a normal mattress) sloped down and to the side so we felt as if we were falling of he bed all night. The bathroom, although very, very dated was large. The extractor did not work, the electric shower was only chest height but you at least had plenty of hooks to hang your towel, 7 if you include the one being used as a door handle! Breakfast was meagre although enthusiastically delivered. 3-4 bits of canned fruit in plastic pots to start with, a spoon of marmalade (enough for 1 slice) being delivered to the table and a the milk pot was dirty outside and IN! and splatter marks up with wall next to us. I had a breakfast which was described as 4 succulent rings of black pudding which turned out to be 4 thin, dry satsuma sized segments. All of this for £95 plus the illegally wanted to charge us for using a creditcard!! At least £25 over priced in my opinion. As you might have guessed we will not be returning.
