We visted in May with a group of family and friends and 1 toddler. Ross was a generous and helpful host, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the trip. The house itself was impressive, with its wonderful history on display. With six spacious ensuite double bedrooms. We had great weather which meant we spent most our time in the beautiful garden/courtyard. The large dinning room and bar area meant we could have meals together and the kitchen was fully equipped for catering for bigger groups. Preston House is a perfect place for big groups with lots of free on street parking but also good public transport links and lots of things to do in walking distance of the house. The town, Abbeyleix has Morrissey's, a great historic pub, a lovely bog trail, restaurants, supermarket and a fab bakery all in walking distance. I absolutely would recommend Preston House for any group looking for a good deal in an excellent location.

Preston House has a charm all of its own. From the moment you step inside the door, there is a lovely atmosphere, and a definite feeling of this is a "step back in time." The furniture, drapes, and accessories are in keeping with the timelessness of the house. Ross & Tanya were warm and welcoming. Juno was a star. The Pembroke Suite was lovely and after a long journey that day I slept really well with beautiful warn bed linen and fluffy pillows. The Christmas tree had only been put up and the fire was ready to be lit later on in the day. Thank you for your hospitality Ross....Preston House is a hop & skip from Dublin. There is a bus service to Dublin outside the door virtually. The next time I have to go to Dublin on a shopping trip Preston House will be my stop over!
