Hostels in Wellington, New Zealand

To our surprise, we managed to check in at 8am earlier than the allowed time of 2pm. A lot of eateries are nearby. Within a few minutes on foot, there is a shuttle point for pickup for the interisland ferry as well as metro train station. Disadvantage: smelly room

Check in was very efficient. Sufficient information given. The building is large and a bit confusing but helpful coloured signage resolves that. They offer evening activities to encourage the visitors to mingle. Bbq was the first one and free!

First of all, the entrance is a staircase, so it is difficult to drag a suitcase. There was a Korean staff member at the desk, and he was very friendly. There is an elevator, but it is old, so I only used it to move luggage. I was on the 1st floor, so I felt like I was on the 2nd floor. There is a musty smell coming from the hallway. The desk in the room wasn't cleaned and there was food on it. The worst part was I never wanted to go to the bathroom again. There are two restaurants, but the one with a kitchen that we can use is the backpacker's kitchen, located past the desk. It's a little dirty here too You have to eat at another restaurant. The overall review is that the staff is friendly and the service is good, but it is very dirty.

Marion hostel 🤭 Totally recommended to find a pretty hostel! This is a hostel :) It was right next to Kubi Street and located in the center of the city, so it was a great location to move around and sightsee~! And the hostel is neat, but there is a lot of smell on the sofa in the lounge on each floor. There's a pass ~ ㅎㅎ I stayed on the top floor, but I had a window on the roof and stayed on the second floor bed. I could see the sky while I was resting. It was so good :-) And the rooftop was art ~ The sofa right in front of the rooftop was good. what?

It was in a good location close to tourist attractions, so I was able to walk around and explore comfortably. It was a dormitory, so it was a bit inconvenient that I had to insert my personal card key to turn on the lights, but everything else was good.

I have fallen in love with this hostel. It was very clean & conveniently located in the centre of this New Zealand 🇳🇿 capital. Receptionist were accommodating & approachable.

Very friendly staff, super helpful, seem like they really care about the people staying. The bedroom we stayed in was really nice, the bed was super comfy. Would stay again, in fact, we intend to re book soon!
