Hostels in Sabah, Malaysia

As a regular customer here, I keep coming back because the hostel is clean, quiet and safe. I came to stay to rest before catching my flight or after.. I usually don’t have problems to sleep. BUT! for this stay, I didn’t get any sleep at all! It’s because of the westerners guest making noise, talking and laughing until 1.30am. Mind you there is already notes on the common area telling the guest to keep quiet after 10pm. Maybe the reception needs to remind the guest during check in? Dear future guest, Please be mindful, have some common sense. People staying here to rest. Be respectful!

The environment is very good, in the middle of nature so there are more insects and birds. The bathroom shower is integrated and relatively clean. The hotel's dogs and cats are very cute and friendly. The restaurant does not have many dishes and has limited serving time. It is very close to RDC, only a 10-minute walk away. The hotel front desk staff is also very friendly. The wifi signal at the front desk is the best, and it is very weak and almost non-existent in the room. Overall, I will book again.

Breakfast is included, the shower has hot water, there is a hair dryer, and there are no bed bugs in the bed. WiFi is fast enough and the cost performance is perfect.

Everything was ok except the walls don't have any insulation. You literally can hear next door and outside corridor sound. This is ok when travelers know how to keep relatively quiet especially at night. Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep because group of ladies walked and talked between 3 rooms until 1am. I have no choice but the next day i requested front desk to give me paper, pen & sticker to remind travelers to keep quiet. I sticked over the passage and It worked. I had good night sleep after that. I suggest hotel to do a proper notice sticker in several languages as reminder. I will still consider to stay with them because i like the location which right next to diving shops and eateries. Very convenient. And the reception staffs were very friendly. A 4 Stars for me.

Central location with restaurants and market nearby, clean comfy bed with a small lamp, shelf and hangers. Especially liked the small but nice window beside the bed, it really makes the place more spacious and bright. A bit small common area and kitchen with basic utensils and a fridge available. Smooth check in/out, allow you to drop luggage before check in. Clean toilets but wish there was only 1 female toilet and 2 unisex bathrooms, so it can be inconvenient at times. Staff and the guests were all kind and friendly. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was that the hotel confirmed my special request to arrange lower bed, but when I arrived they said lower beds were fully booked and could only give me the higher one. However it's a minor issue and understandable, and I like that they care about their service as they send email to ask for feedback after the stay. Overall a really good bargain!

I like it very much. The boss is very nice and can speak English and Chinese, so communication is relatively easy. I stayed there for two nights while diving and it was very nice! Service: There is a local girl, and she is very nice and talkative, but she only speaks English. Breakfast is provided, I'm not sure if lunch is provided, but the breakfast is delicious and there is unlimited tea, drinks and snacks. The boss lady also taught me how to wash clothes. To catch a flight in the morning, the boss also hired a chartered car. The driver's car smells great. Environment: The environment is relatively clean in Semporna, and there are some food and clothes sellers around. Facilities: There is air conditioning, which is very good. There was no air conditioning when I was in Indonesia! Then I met a lot of friends in the hotel, and they were all very nice. For example, the Chinese are all young people from all walks of life. In addition, there are two foreign ladies living with me, one is Finnish and the other is British German. I personally feel that I learned from communicating with them and felt the collision of different ideas.

It is better to live in the town than in the suburbs. The B&B in the suburbs is far away and you need to take a taxi. There are flying ants at night, and the calls of many animals in nature will be very noisy when sleeping at night. It is very quiet here in the town, not far from KFC, the streets outside are very clean, and even the public toilets inside are clean. There are more foreigners from Europe and America living here, mainly because it is not expensive! The front desk can't speak Chinese, but they can communicate in simple English. The disadvantage is that the room is small and has no window. It clearly says that there is a window on the room I booked, but they said that the platform wrote it wrong, so they could only give me this one. It doesn't matter, the stay is okay later. The first floor of the second floor is where you eat breakfast, which is also very clean. Two people clean it every day! If next time, I will choose here again!

The accommodation is pretty new, WiFi is fast, the room is very clean, the owners are very friendly and helpful, you have a really warm shower, only the room was not 20 am as advertised, but about 10 am, which is more common in Semporna , we slept very well and recommend the house because we only used the room to sleep.

The front desk brother is very good, the things should be optimistic. It is best to lock the password. It is too expensive to book a hotel alone. This place saved me............ It is very close to Longmen Inn.
