I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies. My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily. The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing. I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

Excellent hostel. Comfy capsules, hot showers, washing machine (costs to use but I'm not sure how much), excellent value. Easy to get to from train stations as long as you use a bus (use baidu maps 百度地图 to find routes and I swapped a stack of 1 yuan notes to pay for the buses as the Alipay bus card doesnt work for foreigners in Datong). The location is difficult to find but if you get to the rough location then locals are very happy to point you the right direction. You then text the owner who remotely let's you in.

The room is relatively clean, there is no strange smell, and the overall environment is quite good. The soundproofing may be poor, but holiday hotels are hard to find. There is a park opposite the hotel, not far from the ancient city, just a few minutes' taxi ride away. There is a paid parking lot next to it. It's quite big, but it's enclosed and easy to miss. I took a picture of the parking lot.

The room is super clean and cozy The bed and washroom are very good. Bed sheets are changed for each guest. Highly recommended! Near the North Gate It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the center of the city's main street.

I booked this hotel when I came to Taiyuan to watch Xue Zhiqian's concert. The location is very convenient. It is close to popular attractions such as Liuxiang Bell Tower Street. I took a shuttle bus to the concert and back. In short, if you are alone, I still recommend staying in this youth hostel! A small suggestion: The pillow is too high. My roommate and I didn't have a pillow. You can get a few low ones. The room with a window can have a curtain. It is cooler to wear in summer.

Located near the south gate of the ancient city, a few minutes walk is a street in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The traffic is very convenient. The boss is very good and the needs raised are also met as much as possible. The dog is also very cute and will take you back to the hotel.
