WWongAaronI recently had the pleasure of staying at Guesthouse Aurora, where the charm of the establishment was only matched by the warmth of its hosts. Nestled in a convenient location next to the Church, the guesthouse presented itself as an inviting home away from home, perfect for travelers looking for an authentic and personal touch to their accommodation.
Before arrival, we were worried that we cannot checkin because we took a night flight. However, when i called the staff, he answered that even our arrival time is out of customer service, he could leave the key and PIN code for us to self-checkin, he also went beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist with any inquiries set the tone for a delightful stay.
The guesthouse itself boasted a quaint and cozy atmosphere, with communal areas that were well-kept and adorned with tasteful decorations, offering a homely comfort that was immediately noticeable. The included breakfast was a highlight of the stay, featuring a generous spread of both local and continental options, freshly prepared and sure to satisfy a variety of tastes. The morning meal provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other guests and exchange travel tales, all while enjoying the delightful array of food.
However, it's worth noting that the room space was somewhat compact. While the room was impeccably clean and well-equipped with the necessary amenities, the limited space could pose a slight inconvenience, especially for those with a significant amount of luggage or a
RRanranMary1I like it very much. It feels like living in a big house of a local family. It is very warm. It is very clean and comfortable. There are three floors in total. There is a kitchen on the second floor. Coffee and tea are also available. The old administrator is very nice. The yard is very large. It feels like a different kind of beauty in summer.
HHimynameisalexPerfect location for a quick stop in Reykjavik. It’s not the cleanest of places (kitchen sink and stove was a bit dirty, but hey… what do you expect? It’s very clean compared to other hostels/hotels with shared kitchens like this!) but still worth every penny. I’d go there again any time. They do have a cozy library. All in all I really do like the vibe of the place 🫶🏻
ZZIJIANBreakfast is a popular Nordic breakfast, and the Chinese may be a little uncomfortable with it. The room is quite satisfactory, there is a kitchen, very easy to use. There is no kitchen in Building 43, so it is a long way to go. The kitchen in Building 45 is easier to use. You can park at the door.
LLanyingyinggetianOverall it was good, especially the cathedral was so close, I felt safe living in this place, the bedding was also very good and comfortable. I just felt that my deluxe double room was not luxurious enough, and it was a little different from the price I paid before and after. The breakfast was too thin, and it was prepared in advance according to the order I chose the day before and placed on a tray for the diners, but at least they should tell me to take it if it was not enough.
OOrmsbyI did not receive the check-in information before check-in, so I contacted the host through Facebook messenger when I arrived at the hotel door. The rooms are on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors and there is no lift. It is very inconvenient if you have a large suitcase.
Llucy10The location of the hotel is good, close to the church and Fly bus station, about ten minutes' walk.
The kettle in the hotel was broken, so I had to boil water in a pot to make noodles.
There is no reception staff at the hotel. There is a notice posted on the door. You need to call the hotel to get the password to open the door and then take the room key to check in on your own.
GGuest UserFive years ago, I had a very beautiful and good memory on my trip to Iceland with my friend. After marriage, I visited again on my honeymoon. Sure enough, I didn't disappoint my expectations and felt pretty scenery and warm!
GGuest UserThe size of the room is OK, the bathroom is about three rooms to share one; the import of the stay is not very easy to find. ........................................................................
