This was the biggest room we stayed in during our Hokkaido trip. The interior has a charming retro feel, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. From the window, we enjoyed breathtaking 'blue hour' views. Right downstairs, there's a bus stop that takes you to most of Sapporo's popular attractions. The view outside the hotel, especially with the snow, was unexpectedly beautiful. Plus, there's a large Lawson convenience store right across the street, which was super convenient for late-night snacks or breakfast. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and even gave us tips on fun activities for the Snow Festival.

This hotel is super convenient, the rooms are extremely clean, the minibar is well stocked, and the view overlooks the airport runway. After checkout, you can just walk straight to check in for your next flight. Perfect for anyone who doesn’t like leaving extra time for travel.

If you're a Chinese tourist, don't set your expectations too high – it's just a basic hostel. Expect the lower floors to be equivalent to a 170-250 RMB standard in China, and even a 'premium' room shouldn't cost more than 400 RMB. The hallways are so narrow only one person can pass at a time, and there's no wardrobe in the room; clothes have to be hung on the hallway wall. You can't even lay your suitcase flat on the floor! I've never stayed in such a terrible room, and the pricing is incredibly unstable. I booked it for just over 1000 RMB, but after checking in, I found the price had dropped by more than 300 RMB. If you don't check the prices carefully, you'll get ripped off... Luckily, Trip.com customer service was great and refunded the difference! This hotel has no redeeming qualities. Although it's close to the subway station, there are definitely more cost-effective hotels nearby, all within walking distance.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, situated above Cocono with a mall and cinema downstairs. It's seamlessly connected to Susukino subway station underground. I took the airport bus from New Chitose to Minami 3-jo, and it was just a 5-minute walk to the hotel. Sapporo isn't very big, so most places are only one or two stops away by subway, or even walkable if you're up for it. Dining and shopping options are very convenient; Tanukikoji is close by, and there's a *** (likely referring to a convenience store or similar, but kept as is since it's unclear) not far downstairs. When leaving, the airport bus stop is just across the street, a 2-minute walk, making trips to the airport super convenient. The breakfast buffet is also very rich, with main dishes rotated daily, including roast meat bowls, Wagyu beef bowls, and seafood bowls. I booked a larger twin room, and it was indeed more spacious than typical rooms, with enough space to open luggage. This will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Sapporo.

Right around the corner from Metro Exit 4. When you walk in, you might think it's a bar, but it's actually the front desk. Check-in and check-out are self-service. There were four or five staff members behind the bar, chatting non-stop. They didn't bother to assist or guide guests checking in. The room was very clean and well-arranged, with a sofa. It was missing a luggage rack, but the window insulation was excellent. There's a rooftop bathhouse with outdoor hot tubs, and a beautiful cherry blossom tree in full bloom.

I'm a big fan of The Gate Hotel series, and this was my fourth stay at one, this time in Sapporo. I always appreciate how clean the hotels are and the pleasant aroma that greets you as soon as you walk in. I'm also consistently impressed by the staff's fluent English and their courteous service. I usually include breakfast with my stay, but unfortunately, I didn't have time for it this visit. I'll definitely try to have breakfast next time. The public bath on the 11th floor was a very comfortable experience. I was also impressed by the amenities in the bathhouse's vanity area, which included a ReFa hair iron and a powerful hairdryer. I definitely plan to stay here again.

I stayed at Sapporo Hotel by Grandbell for four nights and had a lovely overall experience. The hotel is quite new, and the view from the room was beautiful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. One of my favorite parts was the onsen — they have several different baths to choose from, and it was a great way to relax after a long day out in the cold. The convenience is also a plus, with both FamilyMart and Lawson located just downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel is not very close to the JR station. It’s still walkable, but can feel a bit far, especially in winter. One night, I had trouble finding the correct exit at the station and ended up walking quite a long distance to get back to the hotel. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel for its comfort, facilities, and relaxing atmosphere — just be prepared for a bit of walking.

I stayed at this hotel for all three nights in Sapporo. The first night was just a layover, and I was in a long room next to the elevator, which was quite small. I couldn't fully open my luggage, which was a bit inconvenient. The hotel is conveniently located near Sapporo JR Station, a short walk of less than 10 minutes through Tokyu Department Store after exiting the JR station. There's a convenience store right downstairs where you can pay with Suica, WeChat Pay, or Alipay. There are two restaurants for breakfast: a Japanese one on B1 and a Western one on the 2nd floor. While the variety isn't huge, the quality is good. The fruits, roasted broccoli, and roasted carrots🥕 were our favorites. The rooms aren't large, but our king room for the last two nights was on the 19th floor with a great view. The bathroom was quite spacious. We had to move the small coffee table slightly to open our two 30-inch suitcases.

It was pretty good. The view from the 24th floor was excellent, and the public bath was larger than the Dormy Inn I stayed at before. The triple room was also very nice. Although the 0.9-meter-wide bed was a bit narrow for my 14-year-old, he didn't mind, and I prefer us all sleeping together, as it helps us bond more with him. The only hassle was the air conditioning was too hot; I suggest they not turn it off completely but instead set it to the lowest temperature of 18 degrees.

Pretty good! It's really close to the subway station, and we had a great view of Nakajima Park's snowy scenery from our window. The triple room was also very spacious, offering excellent value for money. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, so communication was a breeze. Plus, the lobby connects directly to a Lawson convenience store, which was incredibly convenient!
