The location is about 40mins from the airport. Service was prompt and friendly. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was way better than expected with a wide spread and excellent local cuisine. Food quality was much better than most other hotel breakfasts I’ve tried.

The hotel breakfast was quite generous, featuring local specialty pastries. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom felt a bit cramped. The hotel is centrally located, with plenty of banks and restaurants nearby, making dining incredibly convenient.

The hotel is located right in the city center. Initially, I was given a room without an opening window. I asked for a different room, and they provided a new one the next day. However, I regretted the change. The window was poorly insulated, and I could hear all the street noise. The room had all the essentials. The breakfast wasn't really suitable for foreign tourists – it was local, spicy cuisine with no meat. I had to specifically ask for eggs without chili.

It was great experience with BASKO. If you are not familiar with Indonesian food, i recommend strongly nasi goreng in restaurant (for breakfast buffet). And also I want to bring this hotel's orange juice to home. It was the best juice I've ever had. Room service available 24hour. Room is maintain their clearance, but one of disappointing point is sewer, it can't drain well 😭

The hotel was clean, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed. I especially loved the fresh plant in the room and the premium scent of the body wash, small touches that made me appreciate my stay. The breakfast was splendid, very local very indonesian dishes. The only downside was the air conditioning. Even when set to 17°C, the room never felt cold enough. We reported it and an engineer inspected it, but unfortunately, there was no noticeable improvement. We decided not to be a karen and make a fuss so we stayed in the room for 3 nights, although it became slightly warm and uncomfortable intermittently. Perhaps the hotel could offer a small fan in room at least if a room change cnnot be done. Overall, however, the stay was great. I give 4 out of 5 star.

I was very disappointed. I booked a room for my parents and grandchildren. I booked a room which is written 24m2 with balcony. I had stayed there before, that's why I know it's supposed to be spacious room. But they only get small room 17m2 not as mention in the details just because of the name not ”grand deluxe” but I paid more than ”deluxe price”. The same price with the published rate for ”grand deluxe” directly in the hotel. And there is no ”grand deluxe” In the room choices in Trip. They can't ask for extrabed because there's no space. And also when 1 adult with 2 kids having breakfast they still ask for extra fee. I know this rule but i just felt not fair to pay after overpriced for the disappointing room

Excellent facilities and delicious food. However, I must say our initial check-in experience was not very pleasant. The room we booked wasn't ready even though we arrived at 4 PM, and it still wasn't ready by 5:30 PM.

The stay was great, but they didn't provide any slippers. I requested them, but they were never delivered, even after I called the front desk multiple times. Oh well.

The room was spacious and the location very strategic. The breakfast spread was excellent, and my dad enjoyed it very much. The only downside was the smoking room, which had quite a strong smell. I should have opted for a non-smoking room instead, as the receptionist kindly suggested earlier. Overall good experience.

We had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the surrounding attractions and enjoy the charm of Bukittinggi. The cleanliness of the hotel was well maintained, and the rooms were comfortable and welcoming. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking mountain view, which created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, especially in the mornings. I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with beautiful scenery in Bukittinggi.
