Beautiful building combining modern and old architecture, small but clean room with facilities and amenities (even a big bottle of body cream!), superb view to the river and Parliament even from bed (ask for the rooms with balcony, it's a plus!). Can't comment about breakfast because we didn't have
Great Property. I liked the room, very spacy and it has a desk. Clean and quiet too. Breakfast was nice and it's in a great location. Supermarket, metro, tram, bus directly outside the building.
Only thing that could be improved is the gym, it's mostly cardio. But you can go to ”4% Candy gym” next door, it's good and they have daypass for a reasonable price.
The hotel boasts a prime location, just about 400 meters from both the metro and bus stops. The rooms are quite small, certainly compact. Conveniently situated in Buda, it's a short distance from Fisherman's Bastion and the Castle.
The main advantage of this hotel is its location. It is literally next to the airport, which makes it an ideal option for travelers. A huge plus is the free shuttle service, which arrives very quickly after landing and also takes you back to the airport. This is really convenient and saves a lot of time.
As for the room, this time we stayed in a small double room. There are a few things that could be improved. The shower door was broken and didn’t close properly, so some water leaked onto the floor. There were also too few power outlets — it would be great to have more. I couldn’t switch the air conditioning to heating mode, and the room felt a bit chilly. The radiator in the bathroom didn’t work either, even when turned on to maximum, which was inconvenient because I wanted to dry some clothes. The lighting in the bathroom was quite poor. It would also be very convenient if slippers and bathrobes were provided in the room.
On the positive side, the bed was extremely comfortable, with a great mattress and soft pillows. The room was clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Despite being so close to the airport, the hotel was very quiet — we slept wonderfully. We especially appreciated the blackout curtains, which completely block out light and make the room perfectly dark.
A special compliment goes to the kitchen. We ordered room service — a burger, goulash, and cappuccino — everything was incredibly delicious, a true 10 out of 10. Breakfast was also impressive: a wide variety of dishes, from steamed and boiled to fried options. Lots of snacks and cheeses — everyone can find something to their taste.
In summary, there are some things that could be improved, but overall the hotel left a very good impression. Next time we travel through Budapest, we will stay here again.
This hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at The River Bar which was reasonably priced and the food was good, / We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
The room was clean, slightly dated but had everything you needed. The Spa was clean, would recommend to bring sliders/crocs as the floor in the swimming pool area was very slippy, although the hotel does provide a robe and slippers. One of the saunas was out of action but they had other ones available to use. In terms of location it is slightly out of the way, which was nice as it was quiet. We got a taxi and used the tram to get to the city centre which was fairly simple.
Overall very good value to stay here and very good that the spa facilities is included at no extra fee.
I would recommend!
Many Thanks :)
Check in was smooth and friendly. Room 310 was fine on appearance. But later we discovered a problem with the air conditioning reverting back to a temperature of 26. We contacted the front desk staff who came to the room. He said it appeared to be working properly so there was nothing to be done. Shower didn’t have an enclosed door, so parts of the bathroom were flooded.
Breakfast had a variety of options. We particularly liked the fresh juice station. There was also a nice backyard-like part of the restaurant that was peaceful to have breakfast in.
We had a repairman look at the air conditioning, but he claimed the problem was that we didn’t know how to work the key holder electricity slot, like this was rocket science technology never-before-seen in an hotel. A chance encounter with the hotel manager eventually led to us changing rooms. Room 112 was much better, smelled fresh and air conditioning worked properly. We paid almost 1500 rmb a night (and no complimentary water in the room) because of Coldplay concerts so value wasn’t great for what we received. Wouldn’t stay again despite liking the local neighborhood vibe to the hotel.
Best location with easy access to all public transportation. Maintain high level of cleanliness and staff are nice and approachable. Breakfast serves varieties of food, savoury or sweet. The only short fall was strict check in time at 3pm, but they provide luggage storage. Overall a pleasant stay, would return in future.
Unique modern hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the trams and buses and 10 minutes from the underground. Clean, contemporary rooms!
We had a great stay at Lion’s Garden Hotel! The pool and spa area felt like a private escape—we practically had it all to ourselves. The staff were friendly, and the hotel strikes a perfect balance between elegance and coziness, offering all the right amenities without breaking the bank. Plus, it’s pretty central, making it easy to explore many of Budapest’s top attractions. Would definitely stay here again!
Dear Hilton Management,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay and the unacceptable handling of payment at check-out.
When I checked out in the morning, I was informed that the printer was not working and therefore no invoice could be issued. I was told it would be sent by email, but I have not received anything to date. At check-out, I specifically requested to pay the minibar and lobby bar charges with a different credit card. However, the front desk staff insisted on using the card provided for the deposit. I agreed, but only after confirming the charges at the counter before leaving.
To my surprise, after 8:00 p.m. the same day, an additional charge of 3,200 HUF was made to my card without any details provided and without my consent. This action is highly unprofessional and unacceptable for a five-star hotel.
Taking money from a guest’s account without transparency or approval is not only a violation of trust but also damaging to Hilton’s reputation. The female staff member on duty at 11 a.m. who mishandled this situation should be formally warned, and I request a full explanation as well as a proper invoice for my stay.
I expect this matter to be resolved promptly. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise me of the corrective actions being taken.

GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. They offered us a complimentary upgrade. Great facilities at the hotel, including billiard and gym room for free. The room was spacious, the bathroom was gigantic. The toiletries they offered are from penhaligons. The breakfast was fantastic with a great variety of choices. A very exceptional experience. Will definitely come back.

WWarlie Zambales DiazHotel President Budapest exceeded all my expectations! The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The breakfast selection was outstanding, offering a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes, and everything I tried was delicious and fresh. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional—they were incredibly warm, accommodating, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect.
The hotel’s location is another highlight. It is within walking distance of major landmarks like The Parliament and St. Stephen’s Basilica, making it a perfect base for exploring Budapest. There are also many great restaurants and other tourist spots nearby, making it easy to enjoy the city without the hassle of long commutes. I highly recommend this hotel for its quality and convenience!

MMirabdulOur recent stay at the Pullman Budapest was largely positive, though with a couple of minor hiccups. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed by the fantastic service and the hotel's unexpected kindness in upgrading our room.
The room itself was quite stylish and comfortable, featuring a clean, minimalist aesthetic with a large, inviting bed and crisp white linens, as seen in the photo. The artistic wall mural behind the bed added a unique touch of warmth and color to the space. The bathroom, which appears to be integrated into the room's design, was modern and well-appointed with a sleek sink and ample towel storage.
However, our initial experience was marred by a blocked sink in our upgraded room, which, while frustrating, was resolved within two days. Another somewhat unusual incident occurred late one night when we requested a refill for our water bottles; we were asked to bring the bottles down to the reception for refilling, which felt a bit unconventional for a hotel of this caliber.
Despite these minor issues, the Pullman Budapest proved to be a decent hotel, offering good service and comfortable accommodations.
SSteffenDA nice and pretty affordable four star hotel - perfect for families. Clean, relatively big and modern rooms with river view and balcony. The rooms are bright and give you a good feeling. Bathtub and shower in one. Medium size TV with an okay selection of channels. The very nice thing about this hotel is the pool and sauna area. Several pools for swimming, relaxing and one pool with thermal water. They even have kind of a medical spa/hospital attached to the hotel where you can get (health) cure. The breakfast has a great selection and is delicious. The hotel WiFi works very good and is available almost everywhere. The service and staff are friendly and helpful. They provide you a free water bottle in the room as welcome gift, which other hotels don’t as the tap water is drinkable. The location is on the island, where there are parks and kids playgrounds nearby, even there is a very small zoo for kids to play/touch some animals. To go to most sights/inner city/circus/thermal pools you can take a taxi with the Bolt app for approx. 8-10€. Near the hotel there is also a very tasty chain restaurant VakVarjú Étterem with typical Hungarian dishes. The hotel is also very dog friendly. We loved our stay and will come back. We also stayed in Danubius Hotel Helia nearby, but this one here is much better!

GGuest UserThe hotel is very well placed on a street with little traffic, it is a 2-minute walk to the main boulevard where there are many restaurants with Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish and many others. In front of the hotel is a beautiful park which in winter is decorated with many lights and next to the park there is a market, and behind the hotel is a grocery store. The staff is very kind. Impeccable cleanliness. Unfortunately, the view from the room I got was overlooking the inner courtyard, but that didn't bother me. As bathroom accessories, there were soap, clean towels, slippers and the bathroom was equipped with a bathtub. On the mezzanine there is a very nice bar and restaurant. You just have to be careful with the parking because it is not free and there are not many parking spaces left in the evening. Many applications can be used to pay for parking, such as Tpark, which I used very easily, or easypark, but I did not manage to pay with this one, even though the receptionist recommended it to me. I am adding some relevant pictures, and I have added a picture with the parking rates at the airport in case you need this information, maybe they will help you in your decision to stay at this hotel. I recommend this hotel and for sure if I come back to Budapest I will stay at this hotel again.
披披着狼皮的小羊The hotel facilities are new and clean. It is very convenient to find a fast food restaurant and money changer in a supermarket within a 5-minute walk. You can find light rail, subway and airport bus within a 5-minute walk. If you have enough budget, remember to book breakfast. There are many kinds of food and they taste very good.
Simply put, you get five-star quality at a four-star price, which is a very good value for money.
